I've had a Barclaycard Initial for about a year and phoned up yesterday asking about this cashback combo and got upgraded no problem.

They have carried over the same APR from my existing card (not bothered as I pay in full) and also increased my limit on request to £1000 from £400.

Wow, I might try that then.

I had a limit of £500 on my initial, which they put up to £1700 a few months ago, but never offered an upgrade.

They refused my upgrade but told me it should be ok in two months (only had the freedom card for four months)

Sent a secure message yesterday and got a reply this morning saying I was entitled to a Barclaycard Cashback card.

Just phoned them and transferred over in less than 10 minutes

Does anyone know what happens to additional card holders if you switch over, i.e. do they get two cards as well?

I added an additional cardholder at the point of upgrading and was told he would be sent two cards. They aren't here yet so can't be 100% sure, but it makes sense that they would and matches what I was told.

Just upgraded no issues, cards are being sent out.

When I upgraded I was told that it wouldn't happen until my statement date which is 20th, I have received a letter stating that the switch is proceeding. Also additional card holders will also receive 2 cards.
