I usually call the number on the back of the credit card and always get through to an Indian call centre and it's a real struggle trying to explain to them what I want to do.
Yep, I just called the call centre and just ask if I can have a product transfer on the account and she told me I could upgrade to platinum or the cashback card0 -

I've only had my Barclaycard Platinum for 2 months, so doubt they'd let me upgrade to the cashback card just yet. What's the typical time to wait, 6 months?0

I waited 11 month before I asked but am guessing around 6 month and they'll probably upgrade your account0 -

Hi all,
Is this card available to new customers? It sounds ideal now that the CapOne CB deal has been given a termination date.
Thanks

It's seems like Barclaycard only offer the Cashback to existing customer as it's not on there website but you might be able to apply over the phone?0 -

it was 15. i did nicely out of that one;)0 -

agreed. i came to the same conclusion & transferred the limit across to my Freedom card.. ive never used it for spending, but it has a Balance Transfer deal on it, and with Amex being so good for spending, use Barclaycard, and MBNA as it happens, for borrowing.0 -

I tweeted them and they say it's not available to new customers at the moment. I did however ask how long I'd have to have a Freedom Rewards before inquiring about an upgrade and they said 6-12 months.
Unless they're preparing to do the same as CapOne, Barclaycard are missing out on a big ex-CapOne market IMO.0
