    We lost our boy today.

He had a mass in his heart and a mass in his spleen. There were no treatment options.

He was very flat this morning, Oh had to carry him in from the garden. The scan gave us the worst possible news .

Sometimes you have to love the enough to let them go.

We have packed away his belongings. Hoovered up dog hair. My darling husband is heartbroken.

Time will heal. We are so sad. There is a big hole in our daily life.
That brought a tear to my eye.
Wishing you and Mr Spirit lots of strength.

That's very sad. Such a hard decision to take.

    Cheers mystic_trev.

The lump is on the other side from both the last tumor and thus the treatment which is bad.

The lump is small and only been there for few days which is fine.

I had a sore throat and the right side of my tongue was in bloody agony I think as a result of sensitivity resulting from old treatment (boo but not life threatening).

The lump bothers me. It's on a list of 1 thing to bring up with the doc. He's very good and we'll see what he says.

One of the things that I find difficult about dealing with post-cancer is that you are 'better' but may well not be anything of the sort. It's a bit like if you broke your leg and the doc said, "Well Sir, We've fixed your leg but on any given day there is about a 1:5,000 chance it will just randomly break again. Lifestyle might have an impact but we don't really understand that".

Would you play soccer again? Cricket? Go for a walk on uneven ground? Sit on a bar stool? Cross the road?

More than anything else I appreciate good wishes. I know I get jittery every time I have a checkup.

 I had a glug of whisky to commiserate with you.

Plus, I just had a big argument with someone, so I deserve a drink.

I'm sorry to hear that. Can't bring myself to think about things happening to our dog.:(

I got into an argument with some inconsiderate builders, churning up the landscape.

Just had a builder, recommended by the EAs, visit and give me a ballpark figure. He said £18-20k ... possibly £25k, depending.

I'd left a message on his answerphone and he happened to be round the corner, so popped round.

He said "get an architect", so I guess builders don't mind being asked round to quote without an actual design.

We too are contemplating an extension and have a design chappie coming round tomorrow morning.

    When I get awkward

    Ah, Grumpy Old Man Syndrome.

I'd have not done that - I'd have balanced their ability to make it mucky/damage it -v- my "right to show them I'm RIGHT"

Are you in a fit state to deal with that?

    Will have to be.

The hardest thing to face is going out for a walk now with OH. Dreading it. Will pull ourselves together. We have had lots of practice at pulling ourselves together.
