As the incumbent. I'm declaring myself totally neutral on my successor, and would remind myself and all other NPs that I have no say in this.

I would advise any potential thread starters that they don't have to break a limb to get chosen, that was just me.

It's all gone a bit quieter... it was gusting at 50mph from the South, now it's changed a bit and is SSW.
Just hope it stays like this, or lessens....

Well, I'd only be liable if I could be proven to be negligible. Having contacted firms for quotes is an indication I'm not entirely negligible ... and now, having informed them to move it .... I'd hope to not be in that position.

SOOOooooo embarrassing if something goes wrong.

We had a massive gust of 60+ mph ( 78mph measured down the docks at crane height, over 60 in the old part of town, goodness knows what it was here at the top of the hill) just before midnight and then seemed to calm down.

    Blowing again now though....
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

We've got it on at work. It's very conveniently timed over here.

DH stayed up. I catered (hot dogs followed by cookies and cream ice cream, typical US stadium food), then went to bed. I may as well have stayed up as had a pants night sleep with the wind (outside I hasten to add, not me).

The whole Peyton Manning story is a bit of a fairy tale. Glad it ended that way for him. Cam now better QB mind.

Purch, if you are reading this, are you glad Jameis Winston got rookie of the year? Do you think he will stay with Bucs? DH fears that he will be ripe for picking now.

Not being one for buying pastes/sauces/jars etc ... I'm not familiar with any of them. I'll mysupermarket those. It's only been since I got the SC that I seem to be "gifted" a jar each time I visit my sibling. So the ones I've had/used to date have been random. I've not been keeping up though .... I've still two gifts in the cupboard!

EDIT: Trying to identify those .... and can't find them on mysupermarket.

I'm now on the Pataks site and can see the biryani, but not the quick.

Maybe shop stocks are very regional....

I am now wondering if when you say "quick" you mean "the one you want, from their range of pastes that are the curries you order from the indian menu". And not one that has the words "quick curry paste" printed on them.
They might have discontinued it, but there were a couple of varieties of pastes they did that were labeled Quick Curry (Hot) and I think Quick Curry Medium or Mild, but I'm not sure I'd have noticed those ones! It was on the labels of the sauce jars.

There tends to be no fanfare when stuf was discontinued. I seem to remember some company, probably Knorr used to sell cubes of seasoning to make Palao Rice, but can't track it down anywhere.

    I want curry now.

I was planning to make one with chicken that needs using today and a caulifower that Doozer bought yesterday that had already seen better days.

We have some theatre tickets for this evening, for which I paid £1, so I'll have to try and make it early for the kids and maybe we can have a sneaky supper when we get home.

    Still want curry right now.

Probably yes ... and probably in the whole world.

I can see how somebody could say they dislike curry - and have many valid reasons for that. On the other hand, I think it's a pity that it's probably based on certain types, or some bad choices (by others).

There are many types, many flavours, many textures, different country cuisines. They are all entirely different from each other.

To say one doesn't like curry is a bit like saying one doesn't like potatoes and thereby writing off chips, crisps, mash, roasties, croquettes, hash browns, rosti ... etc. Imagine if you found out somebody had written off all potatoes based on a bad packet of crisps!

I have no desire for hot ones and whilst mild ones can have a nice flavour they tend to be greasy. Unfortunately the kids seem to prefer mild curry sauces to chinese ones so we eat them moderately often.
    I think....
