I think I might keep the weather here to myself.

Absolutely. The last thing we need on top of all this rain is bush fires and dust storms.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Police chase went past. A blur of a car followed by four police cars. All very dramatic here!

I hope you're googling as fast as you can to try to find a twitter feed that tells you what's going on.

Nothing worse than not knowing what's going on.

I tried. No up-to-the-second info forthcoming.

Well, curry cooked. Tasted all right etc etc .... labelled biryani, I'd not say by any stretch of the imagination that it was a biryani taste.... but it was tasty, so the name's irrelevant. It was beef curry.

Found out decades ago that the finest tasting curry can be made by blending a well-known northern brand of curry pastes 50:50 biryani: quick curry (hot or mild).

Luckily I took the dog for his constitutional before the weather turned wild here.

Veiled hints at brand names are useless for me :)

He was probably suitably ungrateful and was thinking "What an idiot, fancy dragging me out on a night like this ... and not at the usual time; that's mucked up my routine!"

I know this won't help in the least PN but whatever is going to happen will happen whether you watch it happen or not.

I have just ordered 180 of waitrose staples for hopefully £60 although I wonder if they will actually deliver 20x deodorants....I didn't realise you could only have certain products as 20% off favourites so that made the whole thing even more complicated.
    I think....

You should use your aforementioned crevice tool more regularly, or more skillfully ....20's a lot of whiff to get rid of!

    Oh PN - I never thought you'd ask :)

I reckon each one lasts about 2 months, The brand I use is very rarely on special not one of these 'half price' every other week products :(
    I think....

It's quite calm out there right now. Wind's changed direction and is close to West.... I am starting to keep notes on directions and which winds are worst. Definitely South is worst, with SSW pretty bad and SW very windy. Outside of those it's nothing like armageddon.

Fence is a wreck. Four panels, 5 uprights. Half connected, half disconnected. Could pass a mug of tea through one gap between the upright and the panel. Uprights 1, 3 and 5 are solid. 2 and 4 were the broken/wobbly ones.

Same here, been like that for a few weeks.

Luckily it is now leaning against neighbours house. Even luckier they have agreed to go halves on cement posts.

Just quoting myself from thread 8

"If you're making it yourself, use theTakeaway Secret book, or cheat and use Patak's curry pastes. I saw crates of it being delivered to my favouritye takeaway once and you can't beat them.

Equal parts of Biryani paste and quick curry paste. I wouldn't trust myself to taste it before they arrive else I might just eat it all"

I nominate maggie. No good reason. Someone has to do it and she is as good a person as any. A person with 99.998% of an arm is prolly better able to do it than someone like me with 75% of a pair of parotid glands.

(maggie is perfectly welcome to tell me to mind my own BTW and I won't get upset).

Thought I'd raise this again as fast approaching. I'd like either maggie or michaels, both have been nominated. If one does this one and the other does the next, that will save us dithering in another 10k posts. What do you think?
