Dinner tonight was boiled bacon (oops processed right), mash half and half sweet and normal spuds mashed with milk and marg (processed) and steamed cabbage (not processed) plus a coulis (jus?) (I'd call it gravy) made with gravy powder and cranberry jelly (processed and sugar?)
Then against my will I failed to resist a yellow sticker iced chelsea bun at only 1 million calories and then of course felt over sugared
I find I feel a bit over sugar uncomfortable after most breakfast cereals and stick to weetabix or shredded wheat.I think....0 -
I have dug out enough info to reset the forgotten password on the hmrc website - does that count as the tax return 50% done?
When you log in now there are lots of new links to find out about your pension, tax credits etc - looks impressive until you click on them and get what is effectively a 'we plan to integrate this at some point in the future' message, 'in the mean time would you like to download a form to post to us with any changes in your circumstances' - digital govt at its finest.I think....0 -

I can't even speak the name of the calorie count.... I'm in denial of them.
Tesco did a survey to find who was buying pork pies from a particular branch and in the period they surveyed the answer was 'nobody'. How so?
Men were coming in and doing the shopping as normal. And then paying separately for a pork pie in cash without swiping their loyalty card!0 -

Next an almighty deluge of hailstones. So intense was the sudden storm that a neighbour arriving home sat and stayed in their car outside for 10 minutes, another neighbour's exterior light was going on/off (PIR) and another neighbour's car alarm was set off.
The ground is about 1/2" deep in white now!
I, of course, was running round the house trying to peer out, upstairs and down, to see if I could see anything.... I could see from the neighbour's flashing sidelights that the car park was awash with running water heading towards the storm drain.
Do you get an uncommonly high number of storms where you are PN? You seem to.0 -
Tired of being awake in the middle of the night. It's been three times in four nights.
Went to sleep shortly before midnight, woke up at 4:10.
I have to get up in 10 minutes, drive to a week long course. It doesn't finish until about 7pm most days.
If I get up now, I can wash my hair, but I'm loath to leave bed at a time that begins with "5". That is not in my realm of reality!Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

That was pretty much me last night. Thankfully I was working from home today so I lay in bed until gone 8am.
It turned out to be a great day. I got loads done and learned a new function in Excel too which will be massively useful.
Bit blimmin' hot though. 37C.0 -

This winter has had a very unusual (for it's longevity) south westerly sourced weather pattern leading to lots of southerly winds.
I would look at it as PNs house has stood up fine to the worst nature is likely to throw at it so there is little to worry about going forward. That was pretty much me last night. Thankfully I was working from home today so I lay in bed until gone 8am.

Do share, you can't have too many excel functions up your sleeve.I think....0 -

I read this and thought of michaels...I was left with £29,300 of special Royal Mint coins after HSBC refused them despite being legal tender': How a ruse to earn credit card points came unstuck

I hope it wasn't you! It does show how it's possible to get caught out if you try to be a bit too smart with moneysaving.0
