That reminds me of Ormus over in the Arms. Sad that he's no longer well enough to post. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

But ... here's the flaw.... if I started doing that today, I'd be able to cash it out in 6 months
Getting 720 for free just by putting 2880 aside for 6 months is a flaw?!I think....0 -
Congratulations Fir.
Hope you can relax abd unwind. It can be an anti climax even when a horrible job ends, so don't be surpised if you have a down reaction.
Prepare for the worst and hope for the best.
A toast "to new beginnings"
This morning he has taken kiwi for a run. Its something we have steered clear of doing because of kiwi's wandering habit, but it was cute, watching them run off as dog dog and I walked down the road behind them.
( I'm wondering who gets tired first though, kiwi only has short legs, so while he can go all day I wonder if he will keep up the pace? )0 -

You are Starbucks and I claim my five pounds (I assume we're all old enough to get the cultural reference).
The storms have passed over. Crikey that was mad. The State Premier went to Dungog today, the place where the house floated away killing the three tenants. The interview he gave was very moving. One old man lost everything except the clothes he was wearing. His sofa had smashed through the wall of his house such was the force of the water.
Why didn't he manage to save a few momentos? When he heard the flood warning he went next door to help the family there pack the kids' toys into a car.
On the other hand we have a group called the SES over here (State Emergency Service). They are all volunteers and they help by providing manpower to clean up after stuff like these storms. These people are amazing. Lots of stories are coming out of people abusing SES volunteers for not getting round to their house quickly enough. Oh well, there are some right !!!!s out there.
I heard an interview today with a bloke who wrote a book about a man with 3 wives, a trigamist. During his research he came across someone who was a bigamist with one wife in Sydney and another in Melbourne. He and a wife decided to sell their house. When they did the open day, an in-law from the other family viewed it!0 -

I have asked a question on the pensions board and the first suggestion is with virgin - this sounds good to me as they have branches so presumably you could just go in and someone could explain it all to you but it looks like every year (once you turn 55) you could pay in 2880, the govt would top this up to 3600 then you could draw it all out (less 1% charge), 75% of the 3600 would be taxable but obviously there is a 10,600 personal allowance which I think you don't use all of at the moment?
And then you could repeat this every fiancial year so potentially 'earning' 720 - 36 (1% charge) each year for doing very little and certainly not claiming any benefits or anything like that (I think you already do a tax return?). That would pay for several days of little men calling round to have a look at your plumbingI think....0
