I watched it. Not good for my blood pressure.“I could see that, if not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled.” - P.G. Wodehouse0 -
You know you've arrived in middle age when you choose the Strictly final over a partyEverything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

I'm filling my time by staring into the fridge ... and realising that the mini tomatoes I bought 2-3 weeks ago really need to be used up, so I made a tomato sandwich. Still loads left, about another 2 sandwiches' worth.
Have to eat sandwiches because I bought bread today, so that needs using up by the 23rd. Five days, that's 4 slices/day to chomp through. Had two sandwiches today, so I'm on target.
It's dreadful, you are missing nothing (IMHO). My Mum likes it but she watches TV from about 2pm til 11pm.
We had a pre-bed swim last night. I'll be doing that again. I want to put up a screen so swimwear is optional not necessary for a late night dip.
Off to the carols tonight which will be fun I hope.0 -

OMG it's 42C today. It's blimmin' boiling. I am just a sweaty mess and we're about to go to carols by candlelight. 5 hours in a baking hot park singing carols and watching stupid fireworks.
On a brighter note, the Generalissimos won an electric toy quad bike at the club this afternoon. They are very chuffed.0 -
It's started. They have kids singing pop songs on stage. Flat. Ugh.
It's like going to someone else's kids' school concert.0
