A what? A naughty in your armpit?!

Something that shouldn't be there but at the same time, I really don't think it is anything to worry about. That said, GP says it needs removing and testing to be on the safe side.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Gen it is totally understandable to worry. It does cast a blight on things, and relaxing is easier said than done.

Sue i am surmising it is a lump that is naughty. Hope for the best with it , you should get an appointment through in two weeks if it is a concern about cancer.

    Thank you, all!

Lazy day today. Out for dinner tonight somewhere local I think. Bigger birthday dinner with the boys and DS2-GF at a later date.

Thoughts and hugs and prayers for Sue and Gen. hug.gif

V glad the breast is fine Sue, and hoping you're right and the armpit is harmless too. Gen, I'm sure I'm not the only one who recognises your description of fears, especially at night. For me it has been other things rather than cancer, but I imagine the sick feeling of dread and the inability to sleep are much the same. I am very glad that both of you are being kept an eye on medically, though, and hoping for the best.

When I was a kid we drank water out of the tap (admittedly it was quite nice water, they opened up a bottling factory a few miles away) and my kids have the same (at least when I am at home, I think squash happens when I am out). To me the diet and normal versions of soft drinks taste the same so I can't see why people would choose the sugary ones, they just leave everything feeling sticky. But either way buying drinks seems to me a demonstration of having too much income and not enough sense.

My kids drink mostly tap water too, although DS occasionally drinks squash of very low concentration - I jokingly refer to the way he likes it as "homeopathic concentration" although it doesn't actually involve repeated shaking and rediluting.

I drink tap water for everyday cold drinks, although I do drink coke if I find myself in a pub with friends, and I drink hot chocolate whenever other people are drinking tea or coffee. I never drink the diet stuff of either. It's partly because I can tell the difference in taste and the artificial sweeteners don't taste nice to me. It's also partly because I'd rather be consuming sugar, which is at least natural and something that humans have been consuming in various foods for our entire evolutionary history, than who knows what synthetic stuff. And finally it's because there have been studies linking consumption of artificially sweetened drinks to a disruption of the link between ingesting stuff and appetite, so that you end up hungrier and therefore fatter. (For example http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2892765/)

DD was quite upset this week when she had to wear her warm coat to school, as opposed to her bodywarmer. Her reason?

    "It'll make me look fat!!!!"

She's not even eight until next month :(

P.s. And couldn't look fat if she tried.

    :(

And finally, yet more birthday cake and birthday wishes for silvercar from me...

Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.
    :)
