I have had an enjoyable day, walking into the city. To get to the starting point I had to get a train whose destination was Nikksterville.
Together with a group of friends we walked 9 miles along the Thames into the centre. Passed places I've lived here across the thirty years I've lived here, noting the changes. Marvellous.
Did you take the last train?

Sorry.
Glad to hear you're well LydiaJ.
As for anything important? I think you're on the wrong board let alone thread!0 -
Good to hear things are improving Lydia...we tried family therapy once, youngest spent most the time on Planet Zog, Josh got annoyed and James spent the entire time winding the therapist up.
Think it was pretty true to say that it didn't really work for us at that particular time :rotfl:
I did a cupcake decorating course today, yes I know, very ladylike and feminine and all that but thought it would be good fun for very little money....and I was right! Cost me £20 but that included the cupcakes, all the sugar paste stuff, buttercream and icing plus tuition (cups of tea and biscuits given freely too) and we got to take the cupcakes home with us.
This was the result...not perfect but better than I expected them to beWe made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

If you want to say something, and it's potentially sensitive, PM me
Happy to be open-ish, as long as it's not on a public forum.
Just Google "The Next Degeneration".0 -

Thanks Generali.
By "important" I meant "personally important to the NP" not "internationally, politically or economically important".Good to hear things are improving Lydia...we tried family therapy once, youngest spent most the time on Planet Zog, Josh got annoyed and James spent the entire time winding the therapist up.

Sorry to hear that Sue, although your family seems very healthily functional to me now.
There's a reason for the A in ANT. He has got through to DS in a way that no other counsellor has been able to do. It's an entirely different level of expertise from anybody else that I've seen since LNE's death, which is just as well since most of the others haven't resulted in any discernible progress for us. This expertise is probably not unconnected with the fact that he is exorbitantly expensive compared with everybody else we've seen. My solicitor is confident he can get the defendants to cough up the dosh, though, under DS and DD's personal injury claims.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
