Grey, grey, grey and miserable in Sydney today and only 21C. This is isn't what I signed up for.

I've been getting the ferry to work for the last few weeks and it's a great way to get in. No traffic snarls or accidents, just a gentle pootle up the river to the harbour.

No sympathy. Grey, grey, grey and miserable in Hertfordshire today and only 13C. And rain!

Also first sign of rain in the south-east and everybody decides to drive everywhere ( so we all end up sitting in slow traffic queues that just keep ahead of continental drift). :(

Josh finally managed to get safely home today (he is home for a few days as he booked tickets for a gig before he want to uni). He missed the first train as the taxi arrived late, which then put all the planning out of the window and a very stressful 5 hours then followed.

I'm driving him back on Sunday....not that he was going to go back via train anyway, one of James' friends was going to take him back as she has relatives in Northampton but she has unfortunately become very ill the poor thing.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

About 2 seconds after I posted it started absolutely chucking it down.

A great advantage of Sydney living is at the first sign of rain, especially in the summer at the weekend, everyone stays indoors. You basically get Sydney to yourself. You can swim in the most glorious outdoor pool (heated) without anyone there to annoy you or go to an exhibition or fun thing without queuing. Then go to a pub for dinner and get served straight away.

    It's great!!!

During the week it means everyone in the car and the traffic slows though. :(

Happy Back to the Future day everybody!

Today is the year that 30 years ago featured in the film. OK, so hoverboards aren't quite there yet and we never did get to Jaws 19, but we do have payment by fingerprints and CCTV and some other aspects of the film (Sky News has been running a piece on this all day).

What weird and wonderful technological prediction would you make for 30 years from now?
By far the most accurate prophetic predictions were in this remarkably prescient reel from the pioneering days of cinematography.

See how many they got right.

    The biscuit map of Britain:

Are you representative of your local biscuit type.

My biscuit of choice is a dark chocolate digestive and has to be McVities.

    I prefer cake.

I do like Oreos. That's probably the only not covered in chocolate biscuit I would buy.

I bought some orange Club biscuits and scoffed them the other day. They're as good as I remember :o

I have to say I have tried both healgel and bio oil and didn't find either made much difference. However, since I don't know what the scars would have looked like had I not used anything, it's difficult to tell!
Some people think that the act of massaging the scar, irrespective of what you put on it, makes more difference.

Thanks for that :) I'll keep trying!

Who owns the ebu? Why would they allow an uncompetitive tender process? They stand to lose, so why don't they act?
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?
