Have been on leave for 2 weeks, just pottering. In fact, there have been quite a [STRIKE]few[/STRIKE] lot of 'duvet' days where I've just stayed in bed reading on the kindle. Can't decide whether that's exactly what I needed or simple laziness. :)

I won't have got the allotment fully weeded, nor the seeds sown. Would like to get the spuds planted before the end of the weekend (waiting for the washing machine to finish before I can go out).

Back to work on Monday :(

Too many pages to comment on everyone's news - dishwashers are fab, though!

    Well done. :T
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

    Day three of what ;)

New car makes no noise and rides quite smoothly due to the weight of the batteries, could be dangerous to the driving licence in 20/30 zones....
    I think....

    Gen has gone cold turkey.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

I wasn't paying attention the other day and stepped into what I know as a very quiet road not expecting or hearing any traffic (but clearly not looking properly) into the path of a passing bike. A car would have been quite painful.

I thought they added noise to electric vehicles for this reason. If someone was outside of the car, would they hear anything, even if it is quiet in the interior cabin?
Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

I've beeped after 11pm on numerous occasions, but only when someone did something stupid.

Most bad driving I find tolerable now, but people pulling out when there's obviously no room, or leaving the braking until the last minute (especially in SUV, which can't be seen through/over) really get on my nerves.

You can buy milk that is designed to stay fresh 7 days from opening. Tesco call it "pure milk" and cravendale do it too.

It almost does already, if I can't buy it with a long date I wait until another day..... and the thought of freezing it makes my stomach turn, so that's not an option.

If I buy it I try to/have to use it all up before it goes off .... and I don't always have it in as sometimes I get sick of the sight of it, same with eggs and bread and spuds ...that's why I'll often run out, then go some days/weeks before I get them in again.

    I've been Money Tipped!
I had a migrainey sort of day. Not so much the headache but loads of visual disturbance. Nothing that stopped me doing much but I did decide to nap ( its so good these are becoming less!). In my sleep I told fir it wanted a cinnamon bun with almonds and cherries. He decided this sounded like a bit of a mess, and decided to surprise me with a bun for a pudding tonight, almond and cherries. Of course. I do not remember this sleep conversation, or it very vaguely do now, but had no idea I was insisting I wanted a bun. It was a good bun though, such a treat, and what a husband to literally make a dream come true!
