Today OH and I took out a 3 month membership to the leisure facilities of a local conference centre. £99 each for anytime use of the pool/gym. My Physio gets to come too for free. This will enable hydrotherapy. The club are happy with this as it ensures I have 1:1 assistance. I am looking forward to trying to move in water.i hope I can swim will be interesting to see what my shoulder and arm can do. I do not think I will be using the gym.

Have just been listening to the brief snatches of songs from the official Eurovision album. I think the Scandinavian countries as a whole have some great entrants. I also liked what I heard of the Russian and Potuguese entrants.

It all feels quite safe this year, with few novelty acts. The UK has one of the most unusual songs, if not the most unusual.

That sounds great Spirit. Hopefully a private place like that will be a lot less busy than a municipal facility and give you lots of space to work. Great price too.

Okay. I read that wrong. I read it as 1,2p pieces rather than a fraction. Time for bed.

I'm glad you clarified that! I was wondering...!
Bl00dy windy out there today! Sunny, blue, cloudless skies .... but VERY windy.

Not too windy here, gorgeous blue skies. Perfect weather for a day in the garden.
Except today I'm a hen in the Big Smoke. So probably won't be up for much gardening tomorrow either.

Yes, same here. The day would be warm, but the wind makes it much less so. The garden presented me with lots of seedlings nonetheless this morning. :). Its so warm I'm almost tempted to put some not before may sowings in. Better not though :o. Having lots of space for annuals is quite fun, takes pressure off planting well this year :D

I'm very excited, I popped I to boots for sun realm and moisturiser,a Nd found two gift sets of one of my favourite skin things, reduced to the price of one tube of the stuff, and each set had two full sized things in it plus other stuff. :). Reminded me why going out can be good.

I also bought a number seven facial sunscreen BB cream in fair and its actually not a bad colour for my skin ( I was expecting it to be way too dark as was expecting to give it to someone and had bought a non bb version too).

    An amazingly successful outing IMO!

I just ventured into the kitchen and it does look lovely outside, not sure about wind levels yet. Might make a coffee and sit in the garden. Still in bed though and it will take a lot to shift me for anything more than 2 minutes :)

Fabulous day today. Wasn't in the office, was out pretending to be a proper scientist. Needed that after this week (not been a great one at work), and next week looks like being more politics than science. Meh. I managed to pick up the courage to chat to a couple of people about science stuff. Which is quite something for me.

    Still battling with the PhD?

A friend of mine has just submitted her 'intent to submit', which made me laugh. I think she'll be very happy to be done with the whole thing. It's funny though I saw her last night and she was telling me she's had an awful week where she is, based in Herts. I'm wondering if you know her!

Thank you LydiaJ. The cravings are starting to ease already. I really am not strongly addicted.

I could/should probably go shopping for a few bits and pieces. Out of bread, out of milk, 4 eggs left (but I won't get those as I got those last week) ..... on the other hand, I can live without bread/milk for days, I've more than enough food in already (to live for at least a month or two) .... so I might just not bother.

List has 6 items on it. None essential ... chips (still got a portion in the freezer), milk (out of date 2 days ago), bread (3 slices out of date 3 days ago), coffee (got enough still for 2 weeks), pepsi (nice to have, but not an essential, I've got squash), frozen indian potato cakes - which I randomly discovered earlier and are on the list to try when I'm passing.... but, although the "Mr T 'value' frozen range" are very pricey at £1 for two ...but a veggie website said they were thick, hot and tasty, so worth a try when I see/remember. You can buy milk that is designed to stay fresh 7 days from opening. Tesco call it "pure milk" and cravendale do it too.
