I recall people liked the Einaudi Youtube performance I posted a few threads ago.
Anyway, I learned today has has a new album coming out in 2 weeks. Here is a minimix taster of the album:

He's doing a similar show to the one I posted on his youtube channel on saturday (3rd oct - a special day! ;) )
It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.

It's half one, now. It was only half eleven when I posted, nearly okay.

I'm absolutely shattered, spent the morning making my old car look as pretty as it can be for an old banger ready to sell it.

My brother was going to have it but my sister in law put the veto on it due to the amount of car tax compared to their current one. Doesn't matter that their current one is completely unsuitable for their needs and even more of a banger than mine......

    I hate selling cars!
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Doozergirl 9 pm school runs? Oh goodness! Both children or just one? No wonder you feel anxious what with that and the 6-day weeks ; you must feel you're constantly having to think about what you're meant to be doing next :(

Thanks for explaining about click bait, Generali and michaels :)

Maggie Are you all right? You're rather quiet, but I can't remember if you were due to go away on holiday, which would of course explain it :D

We're helping with some of the after-school care for the grandchildren atm. It's lovely to spend more time with them, but surprisingly tiring considering they're no longer babies at 9 and 7....

Hey, thanks Ivy Leaf for thinking of me! :)

We're still at the caravan in Bwlchtocyn, I've been here since early August, but OH has made a few trips home to see his Mum in the Nursing Home.

Had car probs, :( and currently have a Vaux Zafira 7 seater on hire. My car is theoretically fixed, so OH is going to drive back in the hire car and pick mine up tomorrow. Motability have been fantastic. Yesterday was OH's 70th Birthday, so they have allowed us to keep the hire car till Friday so he didn't have to drive to Liverpool and back on his birthday, or the day after - in case of hangover! ;) :j

I don't like the Zafira, the seats are I think the most uncomfortable car seats I have ever sat in!

Our oldest friends came for visit yesterday, and stayed over, so we had a barbie (proper home made lamb kebabs with tahini dip Yum!) and a bottle of fizz and more wine and then I stuck with the G&Ts while the lads ( ;) ) sampled copious different beers.

Today we have learned a new word - Awumbuk. I have filled a bowl of water and it's on the coffee table in the living room. Tomorrow we get up early and ceremonially fling it into the trees. Or in our case bushes! ;)

I've been reading, but with Life Happening at too much speed haven't really had energy to post.

Oh, I did wake to see the eclipse, but was too cold to take photos. Only have a couple of the moon rise that evening.

LJ, very sorry to hear your news, but hopefully something better will come out of it for you.

LiR, lovely to see you back here.

Sorry been absent for so long!

Whilst selling cars to friends/relatives can seem like a good idea I think the risks are probably too great - if something randomly goes wrong shortly after the sale it can put a real spanner in things.....

    Re bags,
Luxembourg has been on the "bags for life" for a few years now.
Very strange when in the supermarket line and someone buys a single use bag you can "feel" people muttering under their breath.... Stupid Idiot.
There are fabric bags on sale that fold up as small as a cigerette packet. My wife and many, many people carry these in their handbags to cope with that unexpected purchase.
Out and about in Leicester I see far too many plastic bags blowing in the trees and hedges. Hopefully this ugly sight will disappear very quickly.

I often do it. Not very MSE but I can't be bothered to place an ad and sell an old car to the public. I mainly buy old and thrash them till they're a banger. When I buy my next car I find out what the trade-in price or the online buy- anybody's car website would offer for it.

As that's usually very paltry I offer it to friends/family/workmates for the same amount, which will invariably be a bargain price to them. I point out any problems that might be looming so there's no comeback, and they know there'll probably be some mechanic bills. The last two cars I sold off cheap like that are still on the road and the owners are getting good use from them.

Having said that I'll travel hundreds of miles to buy a car at a bargain price.

I bought the 4x4 off DW so she could go buy her Beemer.

A couple of weeks later, I asked about the heated seats - did the driver side only heat the seat back.

"Oh, it hasn't heated the seat squab for a while, but I didn't think you were bothered" she replied!!

"Oh okay, but what about the radio. I can't get MW" I said.

"Oh, I never listen to MW anyway" she said !!

    Families eh? ;)

I took a photo a bit earlier this evening of Snowdon across the bay. It's turned very cold here now, the glass round the deck is covered in condensation. We've switched the central heating on, and even though I'm wearing sheepskin boots my toes are cold! Time for getting into bed with a hot water bottle I suspect!
