Our neighbours have put a note through our letter box:
"We're having a party this Sunday for my father's 98th birthday. We don't expect there to be much noise......"
...apart from Skrillex playing a set in the back garden at midnight?

I also like 24 hours in A&E, except the end bit where the elderly people they showed have usually died.
Have to say after only 9 hours so far that 24 hours in a&e would be seriously overrated. Sadly dd2 looks like making her escape into a ward not home. She just has a bad virus that rapidly became a lung infection but some very poor o2 sats meant out of hours doctor became straight to a&e
edited, obviously not supposed to be a smile but then I have only slept about 4 hours in the last 2 nightsI think....0 -

Ah, there go those good genes he inherited.
How did he do it? Trying to win a Darwin Award, or because some oaf took exception at the way he thought he looked at him?0 -
michaels , I hope her stay is short. I advise you suspend all moneysaving activities and you save your energy for worrying and being extra busy. You will be worried, you will be extra busy.take care. x
Doozergirl is this a result of a sporting injury, a mishap or an act of violence. Hope it does not spoil his good looks and he has good pain relief. Poor chap.
If it is arugby injury, I wonder if it is worth getting it fixed as he is likely to do it again. Oh had his nose broken when he was a student, he had bumped into some one in a pub and spilled the guy's pint. Short chap who jumped up and head butted Oh. As oH still played rugby in those days it was suggested he just leave it to heal.
no further damage on or off the field . He looks fine ( to me).0 -

Oh dear michaels, so sorry to hear thatPoor little sausage, wishing her well soon.
Spirit One of DD1's friends works at an independent school. (admin, not teaching). Some years ago she was offered a different post within the school when it fell vacant, but she really didn't think she'd enjoy the job. They were very keen for her to take it, so in order to put them off she said she would only do it for £x (a salary far higher than the previous person had been paid).
They said "All right then." :rotfl: She's been doing the new job for several years now.
ETA Just read Doozergirl's post. Oh dear! Was he playing rugby of something? Hope it heals fast. I remember my DD2 once broke a finger playing netball, of all things! The ball hit the end of her middle finger.0 -

I'm sure you two can think of better ways to meet up than a date at A&E!
