I like Tattoo Fixers. I don't have a tattoo, nor am I likely to. :o

    Never watched it.

I do have tattoos, usually for scaring middle class ladies in Waitrose when cake is reduced from £22 to £3.20 :o:cool: (not purpousely, I am actually really gentle, but I think it took her back a little)

Motor Show is next weekend in my town if anyone is interested. I'm only available until about midday, though, as we're off filming for the afternoon. Whilst we have an F-Type on rent (from Sunday morning to Weds, to be used for filming) I feel I'd may as well take it down and show it off :)

I think I am going to have to bite the bullet..

Not sure what has happened here but we are all going through a phase of letting go of stuff.

DD sold an eglu bunny run on ebay, and agreed to dispose ofanother decrepit bunny hutch.

We are auctioning a couple of pieces of brown furniture, a small partners desk and an edwardian dressing table, both items were being kept be cause we liked them but had no room for them, so they are stored.

my MG midget which I have had for 31 years but not driven for 5 years. It inevetibly is deteriorating and I either need to spend serious money renovating it, although I will never be able to drive it again, or get rid of it. A chap who has previously done some work on it at "mates rates" is having it. It goes on Thursday and will transform our garage.

Last week I threw out all of our tea towels and bought new. Most were stained but otherwise in good condition and long past looking their best. i just ha a moment of realising they are never going to fall apart so they would need to go.

It has not all been getting rid though. At the weekend i bought OH a new( to him) gun. He is thrilled. He was expecting to buy a cheaper spanish gun but I wanted to treat him as a gesture to mark what has been a very hard year for him and he has been selfless and stoic.
If anyone knows about these things it is a holland and holland side by side shotgun. Made circa 1930. The case that comes with it is lovely too.

Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the Pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
    For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
    Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds, and shall find, me unafraid.

It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll.

I am the captain of my soul.

That is a very nice gun indeed. A very good friend has one and they are not cheap. A thing of beauty.

It's just before 10 on Tuesday my normal gardening day. Going to mow the lawn for the first time after my holiday. Not too bad as someone came and did it a couple of times while we were away.

It's odd that a destructive thing like a gun is made to be beautiful. I was at the Wallace Collection recently, and they have an amazing range of very beautifully made arms and armour.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?
