    Thanks :) Me too!

Railings are a shade darker than the door, could probably have done with being another shade darker still, but I love the colour anyway.

    It looks lovely Nikks.

We went to France for the weekend, not far, first Normandy and then near to Le Mans. Temperature was 31 to 33 ;lovely but completely unexpected. I had packed cosy clothes.

Is there a numpty of the day award here?

If there is, I feel it only right to nominate myself.

Short story : took my car in for MOT today. This is the conversation on collection.

Garage : "We had to replace a bulb and also investigate why the fuse blew on the headlight washers; probably due to lack of use"

    Me : "What headlight washers?"

Garage : "Those things that pop out of the bumper and spray water jets at the headlights.

Me : "Waste of time these fancy features I think..."

Garage : "Well, it's an MOT requirement now, seeing as you have these High Intensity Headlights"

    Me : "High Intensity...what?"

My friendly garage owner had definitely put me down as someone who probably didn't even know the colour of the car!

I tried to regain his confidence in me, by showing him a button in the cabin which when pressed turns an LED on....and that's it. 4 years down the line and I still don't know what it does! :D ....at least nothing falls off when you press it.

DW can top this. She paid plenty extra for some iDrive entertainment package on her car, and she has no idea how to load songs almost 2 years down the line ;)

    Tecknolodgee eh?

I drove a car for three years that had perfectly good in built bluetooth phone system and had no idea. I thought 'prep' meant I had to pay for something else to make it work. I sold it and still didn't know. It's only now we have another one of the same age that I found out.

Well done Spirit. 30 degrees would not go amiss here, we have been so cold the last few days and next few days our 'high' is supposed to be 14 degrees...brrrrr

We are using the old car as the new one won't go this far. Really miss the automatic, seamless satnav, phone link, light steering, no hill starts etc. One problem switching between them is one has the reverse beepers and the other the camera and it is important to remember which is which. Car we are using does talk to the phone by bluetooth, but only in Italian!
    I think....

Lovely! England was something like this:

    17:30 - Lashing rain
    17:32 - Sun
    17:36 - Drizzle
    17:37 - Dry
    17:44 - Thunder
    17:51 - Hurricane
17:56 - Actual cats and dogs
    18:01 - Hail

Following on from earlier, just had a text from a friend; my name is mud (because after trying to deal with the problem amicably I ended up snapping), but she has £18 for me when she sees me and it's been requested that I don't go into (or near, which I won't be agreeing to) the said cafe again.

If they can afford to lose £30-40 a week, that's fine by me. As I said earlier, the problem wan't that they'd got the bill wrong, it was the owners attitude when this was pointed out, and the fact the ticket had myteriously disappeared when I asked someone to double check it :)

That's a good thing, reading the manual.

We usually sell our car to my father when it's a few years old. He then reads through the whole manual and tells us about the features we were too lazy to work out !

I generally read the manual several times before even attempting to drive a new (to me) car. If the car itself doesn't have one, I look it up on the internet....guess what I have been doing for the last few weeks?

You got it! Digesting the instructions on how to use all the gadgets on my soon to be delivered car, the boys think I have taken OCD to the absolute limits now, I've read it all the way through about 5 times!
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Sometime about then I walked into the garage within two minutes it was 3cm under water because the drain outside could not cope. Thankfully nothing important is ruined, but we did have an old carpet layed which will take awhile to dry out.

Kab, if it makes you feel any better, I did 80,000 miles in my car before discovering the button that locks the back doors so that kids can't jump out. Can you tell I don't have kids? Not because they jumped out the back of the car and ran away either.

I was just about to post that I don't know where that is on my car either. Then I remembered it doesn't have back doors :o :rotfl:
My car seems to have spent most of the week with the back seats down. Sadly not due to anything gossip worthy, but because I've been buying most of Wickes.
