Has anyone tried auto-parking? It's on DW's BMW but I don't think I'd trust it somehow.
I thought it was a fake, for car adverts. Didn't realise it was real!
I've not experienced air conditioning yet .... or ever used a satnav.
I'm a proper driver.... I get in my car, having looked at a map and remembering the route, then I park my car myself - opening the window on hot days. It has got leccy windows though!0 -
I am wondering now if I have those fancy headlamp washers dooberries. I have bi xenon headlights. To be pedantic, it's my car that has them.:D How would I know; if they only work when you are actually driving the thing? Can hardly ask the DH to stand in middle of road while I roar up towards him, headlights blazing and trying every knob and toggle.0

PN, definitely real. That parking thing will be on my next car... I hope. I think it's an option on the Fiesta. I have parking sensors that beep but they don't park it for you.0

The parking radar shows up on the screen in the dash and shows coloured zone bands front and back. I think it must work, else there would be loads of claims.
On the BMW, when you press the button to talk to a BMW concierge person (sp?), and ask for (eg) the nearest petrol station, they download it straight to the satnav, which I think is a great idea.0 -

Well, as I have learnt...if they are fitted the advice is USE THEM...else they clog up and you fail the MOT.
Oh, and don't touch the xenon headlights, they carry 300KV voltage which would harm you. If a bulb goes best get some help in.
I'm assuming yours are self levelling too, so there shouldn't be any need to fiddle with them.0 -
Kab, if it makes you feel any better, I did 80,000 miles in my car before discovering the button that locks the back doors so that kids can't jump out. Can you tell I don't have kids? Not because they jumped out the back of the car and ran away either. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? But how do I know if I have them, kabayiri? Would there be small jets in the bumper? I don't think there are.
Wouldn't dream of tinkering with the headlights! Why would I want to touch them? Aren't they sealed units, anyway?0 -
On my car there's no direct way to operate the headlight washers. They go on every fifth time the windscreen washer is operated. I actually like reading the manual. Embarrassed smilie. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0

On mine as I have found out, there are panels in the front bumper which are motorised and come out. The jets are in there.
I might sound OTT on the voltage warning, but as someone who touched a High Tension valve once with a screwdriver, I know what it feels like to do an A-Team "thrown across the room" manoeuvre! Not something I want to repeat.0 -

That's a good thing, reading the manual.
We usually sell our car to my father when it's a few years old. He then reads through the whole manual and tells us about the features we were too lazy to work out !0
