Just to remind you that a couple of weeks ago you said the most likely symptom you said you had was a lump that was then diagnosed as scar tissue or something like that. So chances are this scan is just precautionary.

The scan is related to other symptoms I've had: night sweats and weight loss.

Both are easily explained (e.g. Mrs Generali is on a diet) but need resolving.

How soon before you get the results, Gen?

PN, I've learned that oven chips can be cooked in a microwave. I never knew that. I assumed that they needed to go in the proper oven. Thanks so much!
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

That's why I'd have preferred being able to see the cooker from wherever I sat (it's in a separate room). Timers only work if you don't get distracted after they've pinged.

A slow cooker might be an idea. Just knowing how to make a curry (raw meat, tin/jar of sauce, other stuff you've got/fancy) and a chilli (raw meat, tin of beans, tin of tomatoes,, big spoon of chilli powder) would be enough to cover a lot of things. The rule of SCs is: don't get fancy, don't buy a gazillion ingredients, don't slice and dice and pre-brown.... just lob it in and wait - and stick to 2-3 basic recipes that work/you like the taste of (even if the sight of the raw meat puts you off it at the start).

Or, just order him 100 Pot Noodles.

I still mostly use the nuker to cook though - frozen oven chips take 6 minutes, eat them out of the dish with one fork. Washing up's a breeze :)

The annoying thing (for Josh), is that he can actually cook, in fact, annoyingly (for everyone else), it is yet another thing he is good at and quite talented at doing, his seasoning is spot on, he can make a sponge rise just as it should, his shortbread is to die for....the only problem is he is not safe to do it alone and needs constant reminders that he is cooking something and to check.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

I don't think anything is going to help me sleep tonight nor stop me stressing. Obvs Mrs Generali chose tonight to have a row which has helped no end.

In reality I don't think I'm sick. I remember what the symptoms were like last time and this is nothing. I'm still crapping myself. 《Worried about having cancer again smilie》

Gen, you deserve better than this. I think it perfectly reasonable for you to be fearful and until someone tells you otherwisestick with not thinking you are sick. Thinking of you.

Turns out that I don't get the CT scan results until Tuesday as well.

I just had the barium meal. OMG it's vile. And it repeats on me too.

Sounds like the cheap ros! someone purchased and I may have drunk in the name of fun this evening.

Not sure which is worse :o

    It is over yet?

Nah. You drink the gunk and then sit on an uncomfortable chair in a room full of proles for 2 hours while it gets around your system.

Believe me, I'd rather drink 2 pints of Matteus Ros! than go through this.

Still, to look on the bright side I might have to have radiotherapy again.:T

I don't really understand why but this is free at least.
