I discovered I am now allergic to peaches last night. A quick google suggests it is not unusual given I am allergic to birch pollen. Strange though that nectarines which I always thought were just peaches without the fury skin are fine. Luckily apples which I love and are in the same group of problem foods are still fine.
I also seem to have a virus again for the second time in two weeks, I guess getting soaked through at Chessington wasn't a good idea.
Still compared to other NP I am just a whinger.
I'm a fellow whinger so I wouldn't worry :rotfl:We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

Oh dear Sue, so sorry to hear about the carp wheelchair, not to mention the hip and shoulders ((gentle hugs))
Generali Thinking of you.
michaels Get well soon!
Pastures Did you know you can get frozen chips that are made specially to go in the microwave? They come in a little box and are called Microchips. They're made by McC@ins but other brands may be available, I'm not sure. They probably work out dearer than ordinary oven chips but presumably look better, and possibly they're crispy? (Never tried them.)0 -
I love pasta, and rice dishes ( and to be honest I'll pretty much eat anything that doesn't eat me first), but the alleged allure of couscous works no magic on me.There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0

Kids lived on them at one time. Portion size is small (aimed at kids?) but they do colour and crisp well.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Sorry to hear of the NP ills.
To add to the whinging, I wasted 10 minutes of A&E professional staff yesterday. By injured leg is still swollen and painful and friends were telling me it is possible to have a broken bone and still be able to walk. So 30 minute wait and a few minutes with the nurse and apparently it isn't broken. I didn't have the guts to tell her that the internet says it could still be broken.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Many years ago the CoOp used to have bags of microwave chips, but they stopped selling them. I've never liked the small/stick-like micro chips. I like my chips to look like regular chips - and also to be affordable.
A specific box also limits you to a specific portion. With my bag I can tip out however many I think I want.... then 3 more.
I am currently paying 57p/1Kg - and it's a shop that's next door and where I get most food from. Looking at mysupermarket those branded ones are currently on offer at £3.70-£4.40/Kg. So significantly more expensive for an inferior product that I'd need to use the car for to get
My way means I can walk into any shop and grab frozen chips .... of which there'll be plenty.
Have you noticed that mysupermarket makes it virtually impossible to use the site without registering nowI think....0 -

I do far more thinking/talking about it than actual eating.
Yesterday I had 2 bits of toast, then 250g of nuked chips ... and about 10pm my belly was rumbling - so I decided to "go large" and have an ENTIRE tin of beans/sausages on toast - as I figured if I didn't overeat then I'd just end up nibbling/picking even more food. Obviously, a normal portion is (max) half a tin. I struggled to get to the end of it ... really struggled .... and, having finished it, I then slept for 6 hours
Woke up/got up at 4am this morning. Very annoying.
http://www.calculator.net/bmr-calculator.html
This is a calculator for your basal metabolic rate, I.e. the main part of the calories you use per day before doing any exercise. You just put in your age, gender, height and weight, and it gives you an estimate.
'The daily calorie needs is the BMR value multiplied by a factor with a value between 1.2 and 1.9, depending on the activity level.'No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

There's a gadget to make them crispy! http://www.coopersofstortford.co.uk/coopers-of-stortford-microwave-oven-chip-cooker-prodst09272i/
And yes, I know you don't want one, but it's interesting that they exist. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0
