But seriously, I did try to 'get into' cricket a long time ago, when I arrived on these pristine shores, learned the rules, watched games, but somehow never got into it. It's a culture thing probably. :)

I suspect that the terrible beer served at English cricket grounds wouldn't help a Belgian integrate into the sport.

No moules frites available either

PN. Given your successes with the slow cooker, do you think you might risk using one of these?
    I think....

Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

I like the word, but... wouldn't pomicide be the Poms getting killed, rather than doing the killing?

This'll surely turn out to be an apocryphal tale but I remember a mate telling us about his pal who relocated to Belgium for work.

Another expat tried to recruit him for a cricket team he was involved with there, full of expats, and keen to expand.

He was interested and asked what they were called and was told they were called "Belgium". ;)
