NPs.
What's the concensus?
Fewer + bigger rooms, or more + smaller rooms.
I find these Beeb housing auction programs depressing. They always bang on about dividing up a big bedroom into 2 to maximise the revenue stream.
Why don't we just go straight to the end game, and just live in rabbit hutches?
The whole of the living space in one of Sis's house in Canada is open plan. Truly massive big windows over looking the Rockies. Surely a better living option?0 -

Horses for courses? We deliberately added a second grown ups lounge downstairs when we had the extension rather than making it all one big open plan but we do still have a big kitchen/family/dining room which I know some NP abhore and want those seperate.
Splitting bedrooms - I guess it depends what you can afford - sure we would all like a large room to ourselves but if you can afford a 3 bed and need a 4 bed then perhaps splitting makes sense.
When you say whole of the living space I hope that doesn't include bedrooms and bathrooms, I would be quite put off my dinner if I could see the tiolet at the same time....I think....0 -

I wish. I'll get my shovel, but we will end up with a big hole
I just think some parts of the world are blessed.
I imagine Generali can say the same for Australia.
I can sit on the front balcony at her house and just stare at the 3 sisters mountains. When I glance down at my watch several hours have passed.
I do like the Peak district, but it just doesn't compare sadly.0 -

Kids cost more to run than the government will ever give you.
Plus the government thinks that they can stop funding kids when they turn 18 but expect parents to keep on giving...I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Michaels, please check over the following deal and tell me where I have gone wrong:-
I have bought 80 jars of Carte Noire coffee from waitrose, priced at £2.50. (They say these are normally £6.50 each, but we usually pay £4-5, so £2.50 is a very good price).
This is split between two orders, so free bottle of not very good champoo with first order and £20 off second order.
£5 new customer payment from TopCashBack, plus 5.05% of cashback
Paid with DW's JL Partnership card, so she gets some vouchers. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0
