Indon't know what a bed jacket is.
I don't think I should look.
I wore my raincoat in bed on Sunday. I was out in the rain, then too cold to take the coat off.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

In terms of nice off topic stuff I have today bought my first Leonard Cohen album (popular problems) , despite being aware of him for years never owned his stuff.
Got to say I'm blown away. This is up there with my favourite songs at the moment:

Was it Ivyleaf complaining about pigeons being loud on her guttering? Just wanted to say you should hear the ones that land on caravan - they gotta be wearing hobnail boots they make such a racket! :rotfl:Yes that was me/I
Definitely hobnail boots here too!
I remember a caravan holiday in Brixham when the gulls (not pigeons there) were our alarm clock, clattering about on the caravan roof - and great amusement when one of them came in to land a bit too fast, and slid across the roof and off the end with a startled squawk :rotfl:
ETA Lovely photo Maggie (caught up more now) :T

Interesting juxtaposition of the verse and chorus. He definitely has one of those voices. Even more so now. Haunting.
I chose a Leonard Cohen song, Suzanne, mum's funeral. She used to ask me to play it to her on the guitar.
My aunt and uncle both wept through it and told me it reminded them so much of her as she'd play it over and over in her room as a teenager. It was nice to learn something that day. I'm glad I chose it. Can't listen to it now, of course.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

OH finally made the trip to caravan today in the hire car from Motability. Delivered a load of towels and bedding ready for hols, and lots of our onions, garlic and shallots too. And 2 small suitcases of my clothes - plenty more to follow!
:rotfl:
One of our kind Seabirder friends took cover off Duck, and left it very neatly folded underneath... But when OH went to get water into her he found this.Wasp nest by Maggie, on Flickr+
Amazing how the little blighters have eaten into that baulk of wood that was holding up the tarpaulin!
I think he sprayed it with stuffo that I can't take. Because of all this extra complications he was home later than expected so we haven't really caught up yet other than I got the photos from his phone to my computer.0 -
flipping flip it's freezing this morning. 9C at past 9am! That's just inhuman. And someone seems to have nicked aIl the buses.
That reminds me of an old joke. I've decided that I really must stop driving to the pub so I took a bus home last night.
I was really impressed as I've never driven a bus before, let alone in that state!
It's one of those lovely clear cold mornings that look so much nicer through a window than experienced first hand. Oh well.
We went to see The Boy on stage last night with his school at a place called NIDA. It's a pretty impressive place that they get to perform. It's basically a mid-sized professional theatre owned by a drama college. He seems to enjoy performing but doesn't want to be a waiter for the rest of his life so isn't looking at it as a career. He fancies engineering with a little bit of train driving on the side.0 -
