Bizarrely if it rains we can have a BBQ tomorrow evening. If it stays dry the pollen count will be too high for DS2.

Apparently there is a local private GP who give a hay fever injection. Not sure if the benefits of what I assume is a steroid outweigh the discomfort.

One house we viewed: the garage was full of empty whisky bottles. 100s of them. Someone had quite a habit!

We looked at renting quite a nice flat that was rented to a bunch of mid-20s.

The Open House started late. When the EA opened the door I noticed a bag full of liquor bottles at her feet. The coffee table had some white powder marks on it and some green stuff in the corner along with a pack of cigarettes and a packet of cigarette papers. The 3 lads were all asleep, one of whom had a laptop balanced on the edge of his bed, opened to a 'Gentleman's Website'.

I did have a bit of a laugh at the EA's expense I confess.

I've spent the last 4 days seriously pondering over whether or not to do something (it's been on my mind for the last 6 weeks).

If I do it, it'll either put my mind at rest or make me worry more, but possibly backfire and make things really difficult.

If I don't do it, I'm probably going to constantly worry forever.

The main issue is knowing whether or not I've tracked everything correctly, as not everything seems to add up with what I was told, and the ease/speed that what info I have could change/be out of date already.

The internet (especially an open forum) really isn't the place to reveal details, sorry....

    Genetic testing?

There is your answer: if you can't stop worrying at the moment then you need to decide if they will be a time when you can stop worrying or whether you have to do it in order to move forward.

Do you need to find someone that you can unload to?

I'm going out for lunch shortly with someone I trust not to blab.

OH acknowledges that she can't be independent in this, but also agrees I need to do something. We can't agree on exactly what, though.

I may use her suggestion to test the waters, and use mine after, but we'll see.

    ETA: No, not genetic testing.

At least you can discuss it and she is aware you have a problem.

My phone is nearly 3 years old, it cost 68 quid, and I fancy a new one.

However it still works fine despite numerous drops onto concrete etc, the corners are a little dented but the screen has its original procetor and is perfect underneath. then last night I dropped it into the kids pool, its third complete dunking but it is still working fine today. :(
    I think....

I bought a Moto G michaels. As budget smart phones go, it's fantastic. They are bringing out a new one, so it may be possible to pick up an old one cheap. Even as a new model I managed to get mine half price at Tescos by using a combination of vouchers and offers (you have taught me well as a budget ninja Sensei). It is infinitely better than my old HTC, which is probably about the same age as your old one.

ETA: should say I bought phone as have a very cheap minutes bundle that I didn't want to leave.

can't help with phones as I just pay through the nose for voda phone package I do not have signal for at home and have an iphone bought outright.I am however interested in your kids pool.size and depth, make, model. ease of assembly/taking down.

If we get one the principal occupant would be me:o how feasible would that be.

We do not want a permanent in ground pool.

Round, metal frame, 'intex' brand, 10 foot diameter, about 2 foot 6 deep when full. You should fill it and then heat and filter it. We tend to fill it a bit at a time from the hot tap hose and then when it gets too dirty and too cold we empty it and start again. Putting it together was fairly straight-forward although the plastic liner is moderately heavy. You should take it down and store it over the winter but we are too lazy and our shed and garage are both full of junk already so we leave it out. After two winters the metal frame is getting rusty so probably won't do another year. I think they cost between 1 and 2 hundred but we got it off eBay for about 25 but it had only been slightly used for 2 summers and stored properly and was in pretty much as new condition. The kids can just get in and out without a ladder but it is not that easybeing up to the top of the thigh, it is just deep enough to swim in but too small really except for the kids.

You can get much cheaper ones that don't have a frame just an inflatable top ring and then you fill them with water and they take shape. You can get rectangular or just much larger round metal frame ones but obviously they use much more water so would need to be filter and heated rather than just topped up. In which case heating with a heat pump rapidly starts to make sense as it saves about 75% of the electricity cost.

We do have a chlorinator (you salt the water and it electolysises it to a lw concentration of chlorine)/pump/filter unit but it is a bit of a pain to use and needs the pool to be full as the outlets are fairly high up the side. We also have an electric heater but have never used it as it seems incredibly expensive compared to the gas heated domestic hot water. A buble cover helps the water stay warmer for longer.

DW managed to put her phone in her coat pocket then close the coat in the car door smashing it, perhaps I should lend her mine for a few days?
    I think....
