Absolutely. Joint responsibility amongst him and his mates.

I'd be far happier if they kept the kitchen (at least) clean throughout the year.

If they had b'd off, him doing it alone would probably make sure he ensured the place or somewhere in the future he lives in didn't get into that state again.

When I was a student you tried to live off your grant, takeaway pizza certainly didn't feature on the menu.

We had occasional takeaways. For a while we had one weekly with some of our lecturers who lived in the same village.....they supplied booze, we supplied takeaway, split between the loads of us, they got the worst deal.

Then I stopped going every week because I was too busy but the others kept it up for the year. :) one of those lecturers was a real hoot, the kind you hope you'll meet. :) we had to leave our cars there and walk to our house, then run there early in the morning to get our cars to drive to lectures / animals and stuff. :rotfl:

WE weren't allowed cars...but then there was no way we could have afforded them either.

Oooh, I've got something to report....

I went up town on Saturday, on my own.

Nothing spectacular I hear you say but for me it is absolutely massive. I haven't been able to go up town on my own for a good few years now as the nearest car park was too far for me to walk from, so I always needed to wait for one of the boys to push me in the wheelchair.

Now I have the blue badge, I can park right in the main town centre road and hobble to the shop I require (this was the suit hire shop on Saturday to return Josh's waistcoat).

Such a small thing but it gave me a huge buzz.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

He tells me that out of 6 of them, 2 are impossible. To clean up after them is a nightmare and they never learn. Consequently they don't bother until either the 2 are away for a weekend or one of the 2 has a girl friend arriving, when there is a chance that any tidying will keep the place clean for a few days.

We didn't HAvE to have them, but considering two of our libraries were thirty miles away in not nearest city and not a daily bus to any transport from transport less outpost it was a pain for those who had none. :D

Edit: this is making me fondly remember petrol prices and my very low petrol consumption car. God, we covered MILES together.

Out on the town, with beer, it's the lads rule of "Any hole's a goal"
    :)

The nicer version is "Any port in a storm".
