Sounds like a thoughtful and fitting idea to me too0

We dug a hole in the back garden and grew an apple tree on top of my Dad.
What a great idea. I think I'll opt to be stuck under one of these.

Rather appropriate,particularly as I live in Kent.0 -
I've missed something clearly, but I do know about closed cemeteries. 30 yrs after the last burial control can pass to the local authority. There is a debate as to whether that is a good thing. Some religious authorities are pleased that the responsibility for the upkeep then lies elsewhere, some on the other hand are worried about a loss of control. This is a movable beast, there is the risk that control will be passed (by order) to the local authority and that makes religious groups nervous. the current state of play, where control lies with the religious group but the costs of upkeep with the LA isn't sustainable as LAs don't have the budget. So the richer parishes with easily maintained cemeteries are keen to remain in control, allowing a burial resets the 30 year clock.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. I hope you are not shouldering all this on your own, I thought there were siblings to share the burden.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Sometimes just getting on with things can be easier.
. Sharing the burden can mean creating difficulty or disagreement over very minor details. If all are in agreement over PN's wonderful sounding plans that's the main thing.

DQWD:
I'll never get to eat one of the apples in the next decade realistically because apple season is not during school hols in Aus and Mum won't save one for me.
I wanted him treated for flu/pneumonia. Overruled so he died.
I wanted to have a particular song played at his funeral. Overruled.
I wanted to sprinkle his ashes at his favourite spot. Overruled.
This was a decade ago. I know I should let it go but TBH I'm still v. p155ed off about it. It was probably one of the reasons I went to Aus, to leave the family behind.0 -
One of the unknown benefits of being an only child of a single parent, I guess.

Do any of the NP know if there's a limit to the size of debit card transactions?
Or an amount beyond which one's bank may get arsey about it?“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”

I think they are required to get arsey above £10k due to money laundering concerns.
Below that, I've had phone calls to confirm transactions above £1k.
You decide on the border between protecting customers money and getting arsey.
For credit cards, I know Amex judge when to phone based on what you are buying. I can put a flight through at say £800 without a murmer, buy a watch at £250 and I get a call.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
