So pleased for you. Have you named your wheelchair?
Yes I have...Kenny!
On the look out for a name for the new car now though, anyone have suggestions? Has to be female names....We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

And if I ever do adopt, it will cost you (or more likely FIR), a significant quantity of Tuscany property buying advice.... But I suspect that is probably worth it for a Dragon or a Zonkey“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

I'd go for something small and sporty if I were choosing some "dream car".
I'd not want something that stood out - too many loons these days wanting to have a pop at it.
I'd want something that was easy to park in small spots, with a roof that comes off and is cheap enough to run that I wouldn't have to calculate the cost to drive to the beach each time I even thought about taking it out
The "luxury" bit would have to be an electric roof .... rather than having to park up and fold it all away carefully, then reinstate it every time I parked....
I have to agree apart from the roof coming off, no point in this country.

Haha, for us the other way round, big one for dogs and junk locally, but a smaller one for longer trips!
That said, the car we have is comfortable for long trips so.....0 -
That's what I want. A 4x4 Hilux with a decent transmitter0 -

I understand that Nissan are offering two weeks a year of conventional car hire free to anyone who buys an electric car. We could certainly manage with an electric car for all of our errands around town. We rarely drive more than 10 miles, except when we are going away on holiday. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

Unfortunately for me, a small one for daily stuff just wouldn't cut the mustard....I need space for a family plus a wheelchair and small cars just don't have the room needed.
When I was married, we had a small car for the hubby's commute to work and the family car for me to transport the boys to school/clubs/appointments and my commute to work plus annual holidays. We made it!
