Sue, so pleased for you with your new car. The combination of its reliability and having the blue badge, plus your amazing family, will open new options to you. You have so many more options. Exciting times. Now you have to decide where you want to go and what you want to see.
You can join clubs, take trips to places you wouldn't have dared in the old car. Really pleased for you. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

You can never tell what stupid things you'll do/say once you've got a glass of booze inside you.
Not for me thanks.
I'm perfectly capable of putting my foot in it when sober, so might as well have a drink. At least that way I won't feel bad about it until later. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

Certainly opens up more options although for longer trips, I will have to use my nominated driver as along with my horrible joints, I now also have chronic fatigue and brain fog issues which makes driving long distances or for a long time, rather dangerous.
We are planning a trip to Thorpe Park in August though, I'm not driving for that one, Andy, the family friend (and yes he is just a family friend, certainly not anything else, confuses everyone), will be doing the driving on that occasion.
And an update on my new wheelchair, oh my word, what a difference it makes. It is so smooth, so comfortable, I absolutely love it.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

But some of us think "being spoilt" means somebody picking up an almost out of date box of Terrys All Gold chocs from the garage when they spot them reduced to half price when filling up the car! Actually, I've never been spoilt to that heady height! She probably needed a bit of spoiling.0 -

When I was young I remember some "old disabled man" which, for the date, would most probably have translated to "ex-WW1 soldier that lost a leg/legs in the War". I'd see him in a black 3-wheeler bike, operated by him pulling levers back/forth while he was sitting down ... and it had a hood over him.
I wonder if I can google that .... I tried, closest I can find is this. So imagine this, with a convertible-style folding hood over the back http://mike.da2c.org/igg/rail/00-app1/pushch.jpg
Not very like I remember it, maybe I can google it better another time.
And disabled cars all looked like this: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/2/2b/AC_Invalid_Carriage_1976.JPG0 -
I would like a tortoise with a wheel. Not one fitted specially for me but where the tortoise had been poorly. And maybe a baby panda. Please.0
