May be your neighbours are struggling for cash ;)

I would have thought no fence and just a gate at the back to secure your garden would be enough.
    I think....

    Not Nice mode.

We have a passage way at the side of our house that we use to access the back garden, as do our neighbours. So the 2 passage ways meet at a fence that is the boundary between our properties. We both abut the boundaries on the other side, so we both use these passageways to take stuff between back and front gardens and for our gardeners.

Our deeds clearly show that we are responsible for the boundary on the other side. It seems logical that our neighbours are responsible for this boundary. The fence posts have broken at the base, so we and they shove the fence back and for, at ground level it stays roughly in position. At 6ft high it is leaning against our wall or theirs.

They aren't interested and say it is our fence on their boundary. We think they should replace it as it is their boundary. I've had a couple of quotes and it would cost £800-£1k to replace properly. They won't share I'm sure because in the past they've refused.

I'm tempted to get a gate put in at the end of the passageway (there is one at the front already). Be a pain because there would be 2 gates to navigate. Would cost £200-300. Then we could remove the fence if they are not going to replace and leave the passage way double width. This may annoy them or they may not care.

    Am I being petty?

There is loads of advice on the GardenLaw website.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

They assume that the wheel space is nice and cosy like the inside of the plane. They probably have no concept of what -60C temperatures mean, nor how thin air at 30,000 feet is. Mercifully, nearly all of them are dead or at least unconscious long before they fall out.

I don't want to be non-nice on the NP thread ... but ... seriously .... if they've googled enough to understand "Get to England, get a free house and money", then they should've also understood: farquin cold, freezing, you will die, instant death, wheels drop and so will you, dead body found ... etc.

    Darwin at work.

If this was the albatross around your neck just be glad to see it gone. No regrets.

    Spirit!! :o
No, no regrets. Wouldn't have planned it like this, but that's life. I'm still me, for better or worse.
Bummer. I never saw that one coming!
I thought you'd been a right beaver about it all.

I've been a right something about it. And I'm definitely certifiable!

So. Of you don't drink for a very long time, then drink half a measure of gin in a long cocktail, what happens is you end up dancing sky clad in the garden , singing badly then rolling around on the kitchen floor for an hour.

    Normal evening.

Cannot really see what I was missing now, what WAS all the fuss about? Will get back on my meds tomorrow I think. :) ( feel ok though)

And that's why, as a non-drinker, I try to keep it that way.
You can never tell what stupid things you'll do/say once you've got a glass of booze inside you.

    Not for me thanks.

I don't.... I don't dance naked anywhere, for anybody, for any reason.

I'm staying RIGHT here.... dressed and sober.

Not sure, I also sung at one of my in laws over face time and gave them a lecture on not eating so much sugar :o.

I used to be such a good drunk. And I used to feel sober after three drinks. I cannot quite believe that hour and a half. Busiest I've been in ages, mind.
