I'm here, well actually I'm about to move, but still
PN (and maybe others)... mosquito door screens in lidl from today. £4.99 for 100x200cm. Might be worth a look.
Edit: now I'm back on a laptop rather than my phone, here is a link: http://www.lidl.co.uk/en/our-offers-2491.htm?action=showDetail&id=245530 -
Goodness, where is everybody? We've all obviously had very busy days. And I expect lir is still recovering from her skyclad dancing....
Very busy week working very odd hours including until 3am last night, then met by a 6am alarm this morning, then a 4 hour nap from 8am to lunch time. I am not a functioning adult right now! When using the housing forum please use the sticky threads for valuable information.0 -

I had to google to check that skyclad definitely means what I thought it does.
In the meantime, how about "Remove cat before flight"? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0hbKpFQatRQ
The look on that cat's face. Priceless! No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

I wish, but I've got my work duties. I was about 50 ish miles to the west of you all I think. And what a nice part of the world it happens to be. Got sunburnt, alas, but fabulous scenery.

I suspect Tesla is going to get overtaken by the car companies. They are already very good at making and selling cars and just need to slot a different engine in. Imagine simply trying to set up a distribution network to rival Ford, GM or Toyota.
I suspect that Tesla is going to join a very long list of companies that were first but ended up worst. The Wright Brothers went from first flight in 1905 (and no flights at all in 1906-7) to exiting the business by 1916. Lyons computers are rarely seen these days outside museums despite making the first commercial computer.
I suspect, and these words may well come back to haunt me, is that if Tesla has a future as a mass maker of anything it's as a mass maker of batteries. That's where their advantage lies I suspect.
SpaceX on the other hand is an amazing company. This is the most 21st Century tech video ever:

A reusable rocket, privately made by a bloke who made a fortune on the interwebs being filmed from a drone.
There are already these in electric Cars. Aptera ( the car fir wanted) for examle, makes an interesting story.0 -
Wondering if I could use this as a walking aid

Probably less sturdy and convenient than a folding, extendable walking stick. But prettier?0 -

Our car came back today, driven not delivered, dirty, and with various marks we are pretty certain it did not go in with. There appears to be a big mismatch between the panel clearance on the crash side and the other side. It was also driven till the battery was pretty much dead (3 miles to go) which I suspect will have made it go into limp mode and is bad for the batteries. It also seemed to have driven 40 miles while they had it even though the delivery back trip is only 18 miles. TO say we are not happy is an understatement.I think....0

Really, really busy weekend, ( plus sky lad dancing). And my macputer is in the shop having a repair. I'm using my first macputer with the very cracked screen but it's a bit tiresome and I have loads to be getting on with so not really bothering while I have so many chores to do.

Apologies for clumsy edit, am on tablet and can't quite pull segments I want to quote.
In terms of distribution network, what he's tried to do with Tesla is more along the lines of an Apple Store. It's a totally different strategy.
The most exciting thing for Tesla though, imo, is the potential for synergies between the two companies. You know all the stuff that came out if NASA and then went into the general public like Velcro and so on? Imagine that all being owned by one privately held company.
They are already using some welding tech that they built and designed themselves for making rockets to weld cars in ways that have never been possible before and Detroit doesn't have an answer. If the book has its facts correct, Tesla is already worth more than Mazda. It's Silicon Valley, not Rust Belt multiples that seem to be implied. Interesting though. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing?
