Toyota dealer said the Aygo was missing a clip on the gearbox and had a broken cable. Quote £500+ for a new gearbox as can only be replaced.

Took it to a friend of a friend's mechanic. Diagnosed missing clip, for official Toyota part would cost £25+£30 (part + labour or vice versa).

    Thinking of you.

Praying that although there is an inevitable outcome, that it will be a peaceful and pain free release.

I'm thinking of making some soap. Any Nice People done that? I've looked up YouTube vids and had a bit of a read (quiet day at work) and it looks pretty straightforward. Add caustic soda to olive oil. Thought I might add some oatmeal to make it an exfoliating soap.

Oh Pastures. So sorry. I have been in that situation this year with DH who is now also an O, so know how horrible it is. Thinking of you.

I know that the whole NP is concerned about you and here to support you if there's any way either all of us, or some of us can help. Don't forget you can send us to the other place as well if it helps.

Sorry, PN. I'm a paid member of that club and it does bring another thin layer of sadness over everything that is already hopeless.

We're here while you muddle through it all. You know that. Keep talking. It helps.
