Or maybe it's wishful thinking on your part that I am :)
    We'll never know.

I'm fairly sure I would come out 'on a spectrum'. But I also really enjoyed your company when I came to stay. Which is no mean feat considering I was there for 2 nights and had only met you once before (and we didn't really spend that much time together then). You're normal to me ;)

Successful shopping trip. LK Bennett outlet shop. Trouser suit (for wearing to work), originally £395. Got it for £80. :D

Well done. Bet it looks fab :)

We may be going to Portsmouth tomorrow.

May be as we are visiting my sister and she hasn't yet told us which of her houses she is spending the weekend at. It probably won't be the IoW one so that only leaves 2.

Yeah. My brother has the same problem all the time...

Gen, hope things go well for your MiL, will be thinking of you and your family.

Spent the afternoon at Tate Liverpool at the Leonora Carrington exhibition. Amazing! It closes on Sunday, and I just wish we could get back as the pictures are so dense with detail one trip round just isn't enough! Might make it back on Sunday, we'll see. Parking was hell though, and no disabled parking. Freezing wind off the river too on the long wheelchair trundle from car to Tate! Enlivened by cobble stones every so often too.  But was immensely cheered up by the lady on the desk saying to me as we walked through the door "Wow, I like your hat, it really suits you!" :) We indulged in afternoon tea in the Tate Cafe afterwards - with scones and clotted cream and jam. Yum.

When do you set off for your weekend away? Are you travelling past me? If you are and you would like to call in you would be very welcome just let me know.

I would have loved to but I don't think we have time :(. We are leaving in the morning after doing birds and dogs and fir has rehearsal in early afternoon, then playing Sunday afternoon and we have to be back for chickens Sunday evening as RP is heading back to London at 5:eek: Non RP was happy to stay for weekend to animal sit so we were less rushed but RP doesn't want non RP here alone () so everything is a bit rushed now because RP's friend has had a minor op and RP is taking care of them so everything's gone a bit haywire ...and was why I was alone last week too.

I think its brilliant RP is helping someone though. :). But.....we did ask if this weekend was possible before booking it etc.

Can we visit soon? I think you would like fir....he's gentler and more sensible than I am. :)

I've been there in breaks from conferences across the way. Always nice to use the other side of the brain :)

Usual disaster on Grand Designs (More 4)! :rotfl:

Was supposed to cost about 800K but now is 1.2 million! And now they've just hit problems with digging foundations - it's right by the Thames.

At the start .... did they whitter on about eco/sustainable building that'll save energy and cost them less on their bills?

Alternative would have been to spend £500k on a house and have £700k left over to cover the bills :) ... and to give up work and have more time to ENJOY what they live in.

Best wishes to your family Gen.Thoughts and prayers are with you and especially your MIL.

lir Hope you have a lovely weekend :) We went to Brighton last year after a gap of many years and I was looking forward to a wander around the Lanes, but a lot of the antique shops I thought I remembered are gone. Still lots to look at though :)

Halfway through packing. DD2 came to bring birthday cards for DS, but to my disappointment she hadn't time to stop (she was en route to collect her DH from his placement at a hospital) and hadn't even brought a packing fairy with her. I dunno, kids these days.....

Took the cat to the cattery this morning and he made a Great Big Noisy Fuss when he realised I was leaving him there :( I feel very mean, but they are very kind there, he has a nice warm comfy pen and his favourite catnip mice, and I expect he curled up and went to sleep when I'd gone.

If you're round this way again maybe it would be nice to meet up? Perhaps Bugslet would come along too? You can come and inspect our mess of a house, weed filled garden, and tatty allotment if you like! :rotfl:

There's the most bonkers chandelier I've ever seen in Tate Liverpool. It's rather similar to ones I think I might have posted a couple of years ago when we went to a friend's wedding in Cambridge. But about 5 times the size. It's too tall to fit in our living room! :rotfl:
