Thinking of you and yours. Only saving grace is that you're physically that side of the planet so able to at least be available.

    From me too x

Cheers. I think they've ruled out a stroke.

I've been doing the childwatch bit so am quite disconnected from everything.

    together with Gen's post.

and thought "umm, that arrival didn't go well".

Before I realised it was 2 posters talking about 2 different people.

Hope all is ok on all fronts.

My car now has a brand new MOT, it only needed the hand brake adjusted to get through and that was low cost so huge relief all round. Cheapest MOT for me for over a decade, no welding, no new brakes, or joints, just a little adjustment.

Was feeling so stressed all day yesterday as money is stretched so tight right now (paying for Josh's school trip to Barcelona, passport for him etc) but I felt like a huge weight had been lifted last night...I even had a mini cookie (26 calories) to celebrate!

Gen - Best wishes from this quarter too xx

Ooh, not sure I said, went to the shops last week to try clothes on, dropped another size.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

    Yup, everything is fine :)

Currently sat in my favourite coffee shop waiting for a friend to get here, as we need to go through various financial figures. MiL hasn't moaned at all, and will be joining me here in a few minutes.

Hope everything is fine with you Gen, and everyone else.

This time 12 months ago I was setting the alarm clock to get up at 7 to go collect a big van at 8am.
Followed by 10 hours of not stop picking things up and moving them.
Followed by moving a kitchen worktop for a friend.
Followed by pizza (in the garage bizarrely!)

Pretty much the same we share a moving day, feels like we have lived here for years.

Gen, thoughts and hugs and prayers from me too.

The child watch thing you are doing is the biggest blessing anyone could provide for Mrs Gen just now. I remember what a huge relief it was to me when my mum was taken suddenly ill several years ago and LNE unhesitatingly let me drop off both our kids at his place for an open-ended length of time, despite it not being "his weekend".

    Can delete if requested.
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.
