What type of smoke detector do you have? Does the house have any warm spots. When this happened at mine, DH went along the walls and ceilings until giving up and calling the FB. They have heat seeking equipment if you are really worried.
May also be worth googling type to see if you have a fault. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

What Viva Said.
An ex of mine had a smouldering ember in a beam above the fireplace for days. Then the house burned down.
I'm very glad I decided to stop with the codeine. I've been having definite cravings for it. Not Good At All. Better to go through this now than later and worse though. It doesn't help that another person in the house has prescribed codeine so I know I can just take some if I want it.
On a more positive note, my back is as good as it's been for months. Maybe it's linked to not taking codeine or maybe that's just a coincidence. I wonder whether I shift about in bed more without it as I notice the pain so move positions more. Maybe it's the swimming and weight loss having an effect (I'm down to my weight starting with 76kg, albeit 76.9! That's 12stone-ish in old money and I want to get to 11st/70kg). Whatever the reason it's really good news; hardly any pain and just a little pins and needles in my foot.
Today's Pop[Lady Dog] joke:
I've got a bit of an inferiority complex but TBH it's not a very good one.

No, but best to stay away from sausage rolls, just in case.0 -

In case anyone hadn't noticed I am really not a fan of Nationalist parties and I would describe this lot as the 'acceptable' face of Nationalism.
Having said that, prosecuting would be what we economists call 'effing ludicrous'. A very, very stupid thing to do.
I mean I am generally all in favour of rounding up UKIP potential MPs and locking them up in a room for a while but only when they have actually done something wrong.0 -

And as for scones... With thanks to Davesnave on another thread.0 -
You could use #1 SS's method for checking how hot the BBQ was
He was only 6 at the time, and I think he learned an important lesson.
My DD tried the same method with the iron
I was doing the ironing at the time, she came up and asked "Is that iron hot?" and touched it before I could stop her!0 -

Omg, if you skim this thread this morning its hilarious. Farting at doozers that some how that sets of michaels fire alarm, then viva is saying feel walls for warm spots and gen is saying about slow burn fires.
I decided to go back and re-read before freaking about flatulant dog dog.
Hope it was just wind doozergirl!0 -
I'm here, been trying to catch up on sleep, started off with going to sleep much to late as DW complained about pvr being full and found some movies I had recorded but not watched then DD2 woke up twice then the fire alarm thang then everyone else waking up at 7 to start getting ready for DS football.
DW and I could see nothing that might have triggered alarm, mr google suggested spiders. Today I will take one down to confirm make and model and see what they claim to detect.
We have some sheets and towels that smell frowzy despite washing several times. Any suggestions? I don't think they can be washed hotter than 60 and we want to get the bad smell out not just cover it up with fabric conditioner.I think....0 -

Sprinkling bicarb of soda over them, leaving them for a while and then washing as usual with white vinegar instead of conditioner is Mrs Generali's suggestion. She's very good at this stuff.0
