How do you know what pans work? Could you use a magnet?
ETA: just spotted these ones, didn't know you could get aluminium pans that work on an induction hob:

Appreciated! But I think GDB did the lion's share on this one!
When I was a student back in the mid-70s the most basic cookerr was a Belling electric ring that you could slide a toaster pan underneath and cook a pan full of beans on top.
Suspect that doesn't exist any more.
Just bought our first ever flat TV for the new kitchen. As in flat like a computer monitor as our main TV is a CRT that takes up 90% of the living room.:DThere is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

The better the soil medium for the plant the better it will do. It will probably cope with many years of missed feeds. Or no feeds ever ( unless in a pot) but may not perform its best after a while.
The further from ideal conditions the more you need to fuss.
E.g. I grow a tree here on our neutral soil that prefers to be in a non neutral soil ...erm, cannot remember which now. I tend to its needs with various kitchen left overs and a feed once a year. It copes. But it will never display full splendour here....which as it happens is ideal, because I have planted it in a hedge line close to the house.
. So I have used nature to my advantage in this regard.
In verse ly, today we bought the correct recommended food for the olive. Its important enough for us to not quibble over trying to get things 'ok' and just feed it the right thing ( if a bout a month later than it might have liked)

Oops, apologies GDB. Credit where credit's due:o.Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Brighton might survive.
Luckily for Cornwall, you said that you would have 3 and a half hour notice for that you would not need to go too far inland in order to be above 25 metres:

Not good for places like Florida though, where the highest hill is the freeway off ramp.
I think that in some places they also do vertical evacuations if they can't get everyone out in time... so to the top floors of a tall sturdy concrete building. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? We plant in the earth that is there, no lugging heavy soil bags of the correct type, then add some liquid feed.
Only exception is bedding plants.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Might be worth thinking about how many hours a year you run the CRT as its power consumption as a new LED is likely to be about 1/3 the power for the same screen size so might actually pay for itself as well as giving you more space.
Scrub that, did some calcs, 3 hours a day usage and crt uses 100w more per hour still only costs about 12 quid more over the year.
We bought a flowering cherry and eating apple tree from Mr M this afternoon as they were marked down to 3.50, the choice of variety was based on which looked least dead....I think....0 -

I like the bridges in Florida, they call them skyways or summat.
Tsunamis in London don't worry me.:cool:There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

Tsunamis don't worry me much either. I live a l-o-n-g way from the coast and something like 450ft up a hill. It's very windy mind, so we don't get everything our way.
I'm guessing the police would go door to door in the event that they wanted a mass evacuation. They wouldn't need to get people too far in this country.
I found this map, you can also link to one of the UK. The impact on Florida is quite scary:
