An allegation of fraud with the voting has been made with regard to last night.

I'm not allowed to say more than this now, however looking at the evidence, it seems as though it could be completely genuine.

Are any of the UK's 5 votes at risk?
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Typical Europe, rejecting popular opinion on the grounds of it being too democratic :)

Actually, my reading of the metro article is that it is the other way around. The jury was disregarded, and those two countries' votes were entirely decided by the popular vote.

I knew we'd worked hard yesterday and I do recognise I've overdone it but I am still glad we did. We managed to get the olive tree in place ( fir is so strong these days) but at one point I was left holding the thing up as it threatened to topple off a pallet and ...its heavy, and pokey and scratchy.

I remeber you awaiting delivery of that tree and that you had bought a quite a mature tree. We want a spreading flowering cherry but it is going to replace a very spread hazel so we want something that is a few years old when planted. As we will miss the shade and space filling. We have been looking on line but would welcome any info on your supplier.

    No hottie horse-owning farmers?

    :)

Actually it did cross my mind that land owning farmers might be a good bet (horses optional). They don't seem to mind sturdy women either.
Also there was some Cossack horseriding display (or something life that, it was all a bit of a mystery to me, there were so many varieties of horse showing) where the main guy was on a large white horse (no idea whether it was a 'stallion' - it was big, a white colour an a horse). Which reminded me of our discussions around Mr. Right.

No. There's a very good chance there won't be a re-run, but there are issues that need to be looked into.

The country involved gave 0 points to the UK, so even if there was, there wouldn't be a risk.

It wouldn't have affected the overall result, nor any of the positions.

Exactly, according to European rules the electorate are not to be trusted to get the right answer on their own so their 'betters' must be given 50% of the vote, it is for our own good....(bit like the house of lords)
    I think....

If countries actively cheat, they should be banned from contests from a number of years, just as drug cheats are banned from sport. It isn't as though there aren't plenty of other countries who could fill the void.

Azerbaijan pushed for regulation that the EBU is responsible for any fans in the country.

This should be international, but the issue comes when the tv station is actively involved in it, which seems to be the case here.

IMO, PwC should be held responsible for this, but all the TV company involved has to claim is a 'technical issue' to get off, it would seem.

As there is now a police complaint, hopefully it will be looked into much deeper, as it was raised with the EBU long before now.

There is also an allegation that one country had their act sabotaged on the night (if you look through, it's VERY easy to see where the allegation came from). Again, if true, the team involved needs to be looked into. We were actively involved with the production, but not with the main camera/broadcast responsibilities, and there are no allegations against our team, who by all accounts (including the complainant delegation) did a brilliant job.

Ah, that supplier only does olives. :o

There ARE suppliers who do mature trees. Whether the right flowering cherry would be in their number I don't know. Fwiw normal cherries can grow like billy-0h, guessing its a rootstock issue.

Trying to think of suppliers I can remember who do mature trees. Only one I can can up with this morning is kings

Should the country be banned or the individuals?
