I went to the Polling Station at 8:30...............I think I reduced the average age of the queue to about 76
I felt sorry for the people who were obviously voting on their way to work as the old folk were standing around chatting and getting in the way, so I let a few cut in front of me.
It was still a toss up between Green or Lib Dem when I was standing there, as I'd dismissed the UKIP candidate earlier this morning when I realised he had a funny name.

It's too windy here for skirts! I did try to sit on a chair outside for a cig, but it's too blowy for that (reverted to usual "huddling in the least wind-affected corner, if one can be found")
Its both.. A herb and a sweetie.
Its breezy but not windy like the last few days here. I'm wearing very jolly knickers.0 -

You can't do anything if you're sitting in the wind. You can't sit, have things around you, smoke, read newspapers, eat food.... it's horrid.
Wind sets off my tn, but, life goes on. I've had to come in now anyway. Too much.:D
Edit: things wind doesn't spoil: carrying scents ( we had an amazing shower the other day in the rain where the wind had filled the shower room with the smell of rain and lilac and wet grass. It was something I hope I never forget, heady and powerful.
Kite flying.
Bunting.
Getting that feeling of vigour on a cold day at the seaside...like a rug being beaten out, or a mattress flipped and walloped.
Drying clothes.
Airing things.
Cooling things on a hot and humid summer day.
Making beautiful rustling sounds and flickering shadows from leaves.0 -
Civic duty done.
That must mean it's nap time! Night night0 -
Just back from voting. Wow, that was busy. I wonder if we will get a higher than average turnout this year, I've never seen it like that before. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? I was the only one when I went. I asked if I had missed the rush or if it would be busy later...I was told...'oh, you never have to queue here'
That surprises me. Its a really big village, ten times or more size of last village. Last village however voted as a parish and we had to go to another village to vote and there was always a queue.
As I left someone I knew arrived in a wheelchair, they've had a bad stroke since last summer.0 -
See you all on the other side so to speak!0

Just been to take my mum to vote. Dad's been kept over in hospital so didn't get out in time to vote. So mum voted the way dad wanted in the parliamentary elections and how she wanted in the local elections as that will have the most effect on the outcome. I thought that was really sweet. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? DD took me to the polling station and she and I voted. We did not have to queue but on leaving there was a queue of about 10.
I was pleased to see a couple of young voters I know ( the offspring of two of oh's tennis chums)and my daughters positive attitude to using her vote. Her bf did not vote as he is here with us tonight and did not vote on his way to work, he is unconcerned and it was not my place to press him to go and do it.0
