A mate of mine as a baird 65 inch TV it has no backlight adjustment and the contrast is awful, he thinks I ma a fool for paying more for a decent 47 inch TV.

Do you either have to sit in the hall to see the whole screen, or do you have to look at a bit of the screen at a time, so you get neck ache swivelling your head around?
I will just have to cope with the 27 inch CRT whilst sat on my leather sofa drinking from a cup without a saucer.Still striving to be mortgage free before I get to a point I can't enjoy it.

Replaces a 6 year old sharp 46 inch 1080p from back in the day when Sharp were a decent brand...still as that one has now gone upstairs DW can have an extra 6 inches in the bedroom.
I will say our old 40 inch 1080p samsung is in the bedroom, as it was a great model when bought it still looks better than the cheap rubbish new ones.
I think the biggest I could fit right now would be 55 inch due to the TV unit but the only reason I will upgrade is a 4k passive 3D display, but right now there is little content to support such a TV so 47 inch 1080p passive 3D is here to stay.Have my first business premises (+4th business) 01/11/2017

I thought it's very noisy? The machine has huge magnets that get switched on and off rapidly. Every time the current goes on the magnetic coil stretches, and when the current is switched off it contracts again. Hence a very loud hum. If you fell asleep, you must have been remarkably relaxed.
Edit: the noise is reported to be as high as 125dB, like a rock concert. What sort of ear protection did they give you?No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0
