Poor Gen, sorry you're in so much pain :(

Re paracetamol, there was a recent study in which it was found that it doesn't do a thing for lower back pain. Sorry no link, but it was in the papers last week, IIRC.

Yup, we had the same study widely reported here. It was a study done in Sydney that went around the world so the local media went mad for it.

How posh are you? List of stuff.
    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-3030119/How-posh-15-household-items-upper-middle-classes-revealed-quiz-10-things-never-buy.html

You can put me down as a "Score = 1" because when I get a sofa it'll be fabric .... not because that's posh/er, but because they're cheaper than the leather ones that peasants apparently would choose.

    5.

    We have :
    - cafetiere
    - reed diffuser (don't look at me, Mrs. Wheezy idea!)
    - bar soap (but liquid also ;))
    - books to dvd ratio >1
    - television < 42 inch
8 – 5: Middle-middle Nothing to feel ashamed about, although of course you will inside feel deeply anguished at your insecurity within the class food chain.
    Uhmmm...no I don't. :)

Americans call that a "French Press" (I think the Septics think the Frogs invented everything)

P.S. This is also the first time I have posted on the 6th page of a NP thread

I can't believe bar soap is posh. It feels dirty.

You should adjust your settings. I'm on page 3. 40 posts per page is half as much clicking :)

I did have a cafetiere once. A single portion one. Somebody posher than me thought I was missing out and should have one. When I went round hers for coffee she'd always make it in a big cafetiere.

But, I don't buy that sort of coffee - and it's all very confusing as to what sort of coffee one's supposed to buy for it - and it's expensive - and I'm happy with my £2 large jars of instant.

So I didn't use it, then lobbed it in my big clear out 8 years ago.

I don't like liquid soap, especially the creamy ones that look like semen when they squirt out.

Besides that, bar soap is a fraction of the cost.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Well, I am a wuss, I went into panic mode in the mri!

Have had a couple, one for my back and one for my shoulder...the shoulder one, the position they put my arm in absolutely killed, I was in tears with the pain and she had to pull my arm down afterwards as it had completely locked but it actually cured the shoulder problem. Once the pain from it being locked had subsided, I once again had full movement in my shoulder, something that had been missing for over a year.

I love this story, with the ironic but happy ending. :j:j:j:j

    Thanks for that delightful thought....
Problem is, a lot of basins have nowhere to put a bar of soap. The ones in our house don't. Also there seem to be baths like that - I suppose you are meant to have a shower first to get clean then simply recline in the bath afterwards.
