Does anybody else worry about what people may think when they enter your house or is it just me. I always feel really uneasy?

Hi all, nice to see you skinty.

I am back after a very very relaxing weekend away. Trying not to get stressed about work and all the other things that need to be done. In hospital with DS on Friday so a 3 day week for me this week.

Oh and because the weather has been kind I have done lots of washing and even got some dried and put away since we got back this afternoon.

I feel uneasy even if the kids come in because I need to decorate. Just feel really self conscious plus my kids r not tidy at all.

but your d!cor doesn't have to be perfect.. though.. if you strip half a wall and leave it like that.. when people visit you can say you're just in the muddle of it all so excuse the disarray ;)

needing to decorate and child detritus does not make your home dirty.. it can be clean, messy and needing refreshing.

People come to see YOU not your house!!!

I totally know how that is and clean is what we aim for.. when we are clean we can start making changes.. nothing like a good flinging session to kick start it all. I'm currently ebaying to raise funds for the childrens church holibobs after that I need tiles.. I have made a very very boring decision.. my problem now.. white or cream???

I want the tiles neutral because while the kitchen has been blue for 9 years that doesn't necessarily follow it will be forever! so.. I'm going grey and black intermingled with a LOT of white or cream.. I cannot decide.. is cream too non-neutral? What if I paint it all magnolia!? (Like never!!)

    TD on
    Takeaway leftovers eaten.. deeeeeelish.
    Babes all away to bed
    Boys stinking out my house

Freezer rejigged after it has been ajar for 4 days!!! ice cream binned.. meat.. I kind of shuffled it, smashed off some ice and shut the door.. I'm so far off the guidelines I swear we should all be dead!

  • Well it is safe to say that I am happy with the amount of work that I have managed to get completed today.

Bank Holiday Monday(Feel free to have the day off) – Choose a room which never gets much attention, maybe snug, kids bedroom, spare room, conservatory
Do work for clients (4 jobs to do today) – only managed to get 3 done, as 1 overrun
Sort out application form for CRB
    Update progress on £10 challenge
Have a look at office phone and try to sort it
Look into volunteer work to continue work towards long term goal
List unneeded baby clothes on Facebay

    Tuesday
    Take little ones to childminders
Feed the animals and collect eggs
Read section on Adjectives and adverbs and make revision notes (I am doing some home study courses at the moment)
Read section on absorption of food and make revision notes
Sort through dd’s toyboxand clean out
Sort through the compost ready for planting
    Do work for 2 clients
    Complete client work from Monday
    Pay the oil bill
    Collect little ones from childminder
Take the little ones to the hairdressers
    Clean the bathrooms
    Hoover downstairs
Cut the grass and tidy the garden
Spend 2 hours on course work (Write up some Chemistry notes)
Read section on prepositions and conjunctions and make revision notes
    Sort paperwork for Avon
Read section on phonology and write up revision notes
Check the oil and water in the cars

I think that is everything that I need to get completed on Tuesday, sorry it is mainly focused around course work but this will help me to stay focused.
