Have stripped DS's bed but I will not wash the bedding now; I have also picked up clothes from his floor and hung/folded anything wearable;).
Various (and many) socks have gone in the laundry basket. If tomorrow's anything like today I will be pegging lots out tomorrow, too. Bunny run re-positioned; uneaten food (cauli leaves) picked up to go in compost. Benny Bunny is running round the garden. Fleece blanked washed and on the line.
I shall have lunch shortly; am just pondering which leftovers to eat!

ONE piece of paper has been filed. *sigh*

I have vaxed the bedroom and the lounge/dining room

    :eek::eek::eek::eek:CAT HAIR:eek::eek::eek::eek:

Even though I hoovered first with a 'pet hair' attachment the amount of cat hair picked up was quite frankly obscene, still it's done now for a little while

It's bright and sunny so all doors and windows open to try and dry the carpets, cat sulking, every time she snuggled down somewhere for a snooze I shooed her away with a noisy machine :T:T

OH has given me some money so I have just ordered the matching bedside tables to go with my new bed...ridiculously pleased with that!! He's now saving for the chest of drawers as well :T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T

Have also had a bath and am now about to head for the garden :j:j:j

Hope everyone is having a good day xx

We had about two hours of lovely sunshine but not as warm as yesterday.

Hope you all having a great Monday

Hope things get sorted in your favour skinty.
Weeds all pulled up solar pond pump has had battery pack fitted.
DH is currently oing a bit of quick tidy up day on a bookcase someone's coming round for via freecycle.
Knitted the back of a baby dress, it's a nice pattern so I'm enjoying it
Trog is enjoying his first outing in the garden cos the weather been so lovely but I've been twitchy as a couple of buzzards keep circling overhead - DH said I'm worrying over nothing as. Th ey won't spot him for that height but I'm using it as an excuse to sit out here with him.
A friend has just rung to say hell pop round in a bit so plan is to stay out here longer when he comes.
DD2 has rung still no news.......I think I'm more impatient over this arrival than I was my own!

Welcome 'home' Skinty - you've been missed.

As much stitching as can been done has been. I've got to hang it for 24 hours, apparently, to let the bias skirt settle. Hmm. Not sure I remember that bit from the GBSB, and it's known as The Walkaway Dress because you're supposed to be able to make it in the morning and walk away in it in the afternoon. Double hmm. Also, I managed to cut out the two lower skirt bits the same, when they should have been mirror images of themselves. I knew I'd get something seriously wrong, but all it means is that one half of the skirt has an inch more fabric than it wants. All squashed in, anyway. I'll be very surprised if that's the only mistake I make.

I've been dewebbing the middle layer and cleaning the bathroom in between times. OH is due back at 5.30-ish so I'd better dunk myself in the cleanish bathroom before he gets home.
    Better is good enough.

    Welcome back Skinty x

    Hello Daisy

I have eaten a larger frog than expected. I finally got around to changing my cooker hood filter and the cooker hood was disgusting. I don't even cook with cooking oil. Anyway it is now clean.

DH has cut the front lawn.

We have been shopping for a new light fitting for the kitchen. We bought one now I'm unsure about it. DH was going to fit it but we always have problems with new lights in the house and I can't take the stress of it going wrong today.

    Park visited and ducks observed.

    Hh shreading done

Successful sort of the spare room - not as bad as I was expecting! 27 things (mostly clothes) to go - why has it taken me so long to sort through them? :o

Will vaccum and dust when I do the rest of upstairs as not lugging the vacuum up there more than necessary and leg is still not great.

Bank Holiday Monday - spare room

    Level Two
    Hoover the floor
Wipe all dusty areas with a damp cloth

    Good to have Skinty back

  • Hi - I'm late!
Welcome to newbies and Skinty returning. Thanks for the lists D and N.
Have been shopping for milk before an extra 4 hr stint at charity shop - very busy there. Then went to buy DH some new slippers and have just popped in to get bread bargains for the freezer. Not much flying today though did manage to do a washer load and dry in the td - naughty!

Need to get on this week as I have done no spring cleaning at all!
