Just wondering if you really need tiles. I am all 'Barley' as well and have used a kitchen washable paint over 'raindrops' wallpaper. It's great as can just wipe off any marks and if/when I get fed-up with it I can go a different colour. You can get those transparent splash-back things if you want as well.

yes, I need tiles.. very much..

2x WM again.. waiting a bit for some to dry before putting out the 4th loads.. I have a superking duvet cover out which takes up a substantial portion of line!

2x WM washing.. I swear it breeds.. I have washed everything we wore over the weekend this is the stuff from DS3, I don't think DS2 will have worn more than what he is wearing all weekend.

DS2 has been hoofed out of bed with firm instructions to get out and find a job while the students have gone so loads of places are hiring for school leavers up to 21 (minimum wage and all that :/)

Oh making the garden safe and tidy while 3 smalls 'help'

Feeling weak today so just done the basics plus a mini Asda shop. I'm sat making items for my shop listening to radio with a cuppa at my side. Hope your all having a good day. My kitchen is currently yellow it makes me happy because its cheerful esp in winter when it gets so dark. It too needs repainting as does the living room. X

Love the dress - sigh- it just wouldn't suit me as I'm too short and plump.

Re the de-webber - have you tried a duster tied onto the end of a floor broom ?? I know it's not so easy but better than nowt.

I'm 5'4" and not slim myself, but with Mary Janes, so heels, and a hat trimmed with the same fabric as the dress, I'll pass. (In honest, old sizes, I'm now a 16, but in today's sizes, that's a 14. I'm determined to get down to a new size 12, but it may take longer than August.)

Yeah, you're right, I could rig up a broom with a duster, but that would require effort. Much easier to wait until the dewebber turns up; this is the Slattern Flylady speaking.

Trying to get organised for dogs.
    Better is good enough.

Evening all and thank you for the lovely welcome :)

So today has been very productive but I'm feeling shattered now. Cannot wait to put my Pjs on and watch some TV. Before I can do that though I still have to go out and sort the animal feed ready for tomorrow, clean out a drawer in the kitchen (as per list), empty the dishwasher and do a small pile of ironing. On second thoughts maybe I won't be watching TV :rotfl:

    Other jobs done today include,
WM on first thing and clothes hung out to dry
    Kitchen floor scrubbed
    Kitchen skirting etc dusted
    Table and chairs wiped
Normal dailies like make the bed, lunch boxes, dishes etc.

Somewhere in amongst it all I managed to work 8 hours too. It's no wonder I spend half my life in a zombie state.

Well done on everyone else's flylady efforts today and see you all tomorrow :)

Bit glued back in and DS2s brace reconnected, framing shop closed so left cross stitches with DD2 and she will drop them in when they reopen, spent lovely afternoon with her family then Dh brought us home, fed everyone then watched back in time for tea and finished knitting dress front.
Going to do pack ups down then head for bed.

Have a lovely holiday bossy if you pop in again before you fly.

Busy afternoon. Didn't just pack one box but did three!:T
The top shelf and floor space of ur double warderobe is almost all packed now! Problem is there are bits I might need so have got them messing up our bedroom now! Humph! Place looks like a pigsty!
Also packed all the 'gifts'. I have a lot in the bottom of my warderobe and some in the loft! It really is ridiculous! Some are presents for specific people I.e. Most of my cousins and nieces and nephews already have their birthday and Christmas presents sorted and some of it is just when I see bargains! Too much though! I didn't quite realise how much I had. Although Easter was cheap because I used up all the stuff I already had so only had to buy eggs for the adults. Anyway no more buying!

Also did a couple of hours of ironing to stay on top of it so the ironing basket is clear! :T

    List...

Tuesday - kitchen and dining room
Sweep and mop floors, Use a cloth to get right into the corners and do any skirtings too
Clean the drawer and filter in the WM

Will add these on to tomorrows list although busy day at work and then taking kiddies out, quicke tea and then to the hospital!

    Bossy have a lovely time.

Quick roundup of the day as I've just got in from flower club.
1 load washing done and dried in sun.
1 load done and unloaded from dishwasher.
1 class zumba done. And post-zumba coffee consumed with friends.
Compost bought as W1ckes still had it 4 bags for £15. 2 more bits of gutter bought to plant beans in.
    Beans planted.
New glasses collected from optician. Had so many B00ts points I got 2 packs of hay fever eye drops free. Really struggling with hf at present; rape field next to our garden is in bloom :(
6 basket plants for £3 at market on way back from optician.
Various birthday/anniversary cards bought; busy month.
Lots of gardening done and croaking/cuddling frogs admired.

    That'll do.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.
