I'm on my 2nd kitchen drawer - the junk one - there's a load of Nokia chargers in there - none of us have Nokia phones any more. Mind you there's also 4 phones in there.

Does anybody else worry about what people may think when they enter your house or is it just me. I always feel really uneasy?

Only the people who pay me to stay here. Everyone else knows I'm a slattern.

Ta, Valli. I tried to watch the making of it on iPlayer, but that episode isn't available at the moment. I tried it on yesterday and I need to remove some of the excess on the outside of the shoulder because it looks as though it's got 1970s shoulder pads in, and my shoulders really don't need any more bigging up! (They would suit an American football player they're so wide.) I've ordered the pattern in my real size so I can make it again and again because I absolutely love this dress, and the bias binding for this one.

    Congratulations Mrs MoneyPenny!

Happy holiday Bossy. I hope the packing isn't too complicated.

Narco, I feel the same about cars. The only thing that matters to me is that it's a colour I like. And for the future, that we can fit a dog guard because I can't find one that fits our front seats and the rear space in the 206 is too small for two dogs. They will arrive on Thursday. So excited!

I've lost the dewebber-thing-on-a-stick. Shame really, because the bathroom really needs its attention. Shower room cleaned, and both bedrooms made up for today's arrival, hence all the Flying activity over the past three days.
    Better is good enough.

Just wondering if you really need tiles. I am all 'Barley' as well and have used a kitchen washable paint over 'raindrops' wallpaper. It's great as can just wipe off any marks and if/when I get fed-up with it I can go a different colour. You can get those transparent splash-back things if you want as well.

Love the dress - sigh- it just wouldn't suit me as I'm too short and plump.

Re the de-webber - have you tried a duster tied onto the end of a floor broom ?? I know it's not so easy but better than nowt

I have managed to do half the ironing - sitting down - but somehow can't manage to do shirts like this. They will have to wait until later.

Just about to make a cuppa then do some more paper shuffling.

    Unpacking.
    15kg case weighs 20kg
Have got teeny case out to use as bigger hand luggage so currently playing Tetris. Need to work out what the heavy thing is, as small one is now 2kg under and big one is 2kg over. I'll get there in the end.

Off to dentist to get crown put back on #fingerscrosseditsok then will go collect littlies.

Curry and jackets made for tea. I'm all of a muddle :o

    Right, dentist!

Painting is boring and lots of little black bugs have come to have a party in the tin and on the door.

Mrs MP well done, hope you treat yourself.

Hi all - still playing catch-up with all the MSE news, so I hope all is well with you all - and happy holibobs, Bossy.:o

Mr LW finally got the back lawn cut (weather was against us most of the weekend) - I was in danger of losing Jessie in the long grass!:D I also persuaded him to do a QHW with me in the front garden yesterday afternoon (thats Quarter Hour Weeding;)) which was good, as I'm still scared to be out the front on my own.

In between Jessie's needs, I'm quietly ploughing through the regular list that I use for Flying; having to use the pc is effectively preventing me from mithering about online when I should be doing other things, so in a way it's a good thing.

I'm also trying to get Mr LW into kitchen decorating mode; we still need to paint the ceiling (I don't realistically think I can manage this myself anymore), paint the walls - I shall go for green yet again;) - and replace the carpet tiles. Again, this will need Mr LW's help as my hands are simply not strong enough to cut the tiles that will need cutting to fit into the odd-shaped bits. Dammit, I hate being disabled! Luckily I don't have to do wall tiles, because that part was done by the kitchen fitters.:T

Some packing done. It's so hard to know what to pack and what we won't need!
All the cds fit perfectly in the second box I tried so will try and sort that in a mo. Everywhere looks such a mess but I'm trying to prioritise (not very well!)

    Updated list...

Tuesday - kitchen and dining room
Clear and wipe work surfaces, only put back what belongs here
Sweep and mop floors, Use a cloth to get right into the corners and do any skirtings too
