Don't overthink things, when you do meet up, you'll know by the end of the "date" whether it is a catch-up as friends, or potentially something more. If you are in the friends zone, there is no way of changing it.

Rubbish! Loads of people move from friends to partners.

Can you be ruder? Not if there isn't regular contact, which is potentially likely if the bloke doesn't feel a connection and no longer sees them through work.

I can be way ruder, thanks. It is rubbish to state that "there is no way of changing it".

Personal experience suggests that this isn't true.

Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..

I'm not sure if this week includes this weekend?
Then cover both bases. Say you are available between certain times on Sat/Sun otherwise you could meet up on (Mon/Tues/Weds/Thurs/Fri*)

    * select whichever suits you :)

My advice would be let him steer the time, (you can probably gauge his level of interest then if he squeezes you in for 20mins dashing between pre-arranged other things... or opts for a fairly leisurely weekend lunchtime type affair that could stretch to a few hours whiled away chatting if things go well....)

    Well done!

I'd reply with something like 'Mon, Wed or Thursday next week would suit me, but I'm also free this weekend if that works for you' ...
