Asking a guy out?
Comments

Ah, well this is the thing. Although I left that job, I work in quite a small field so chances are that our paths could cross again.
You say he's a nice guy so he should feel flattered that you are interested. If he's not interested, I'm sure he wouldn't make you feel embarrassed next time you meet as he's a good guy.
Just go for it instead of procrastinating!!! Good luck x0 -
Someone has to make the first move, why can't it be you?Me again, sorry. I've added him on facebook. Now how do I do this?
Instinct is to keep it casual, but I don't really want to end up in the friendzone either. How on earth do I do this?Proud member of the wokerati, though I don't eat tofu.Home is where my books are.Solar PV 5.2kWp system, SE facing, >1% shading, installed March 2019.Mortgage free July 20230 -

Instinct is to keep it casual, but I don't really want to end up in the friendzone either. How on earth do I do this? Keep it casual and turn up in a low-cut top?? Or make it sound more date-ish?? Or make it sound casual and just hope it progresses? Seriously, no idea. Tips would be appreciated.
Send him a half naked picture of yourself, if he doesn't bite then he's not interested.0 -

We've been messaging back and forth, but I haven't asked - I know, I'm a wuss!Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending0

Well at least that's a start. It's only been a couple of weeks, so it is good that you are messaging each other. I'm not sure asking him out straight away would have been a great idea. What sort of things are you messaging about (I don't use FB, so am not too sure how it works)?
I would try and move the conversation to the films or theatre plays and see if there is anything that he would like to see. You can then suggest that you go to see it together.0 -

So far we've been discussing work (we did meet there and work in the same field), illness (we've both been ill with colds - sexy, eh?), holidays briefly, music briefly and weekend plans.
I keep retyping something out about meeting up - I'm such a chicken...Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending0 -
Ok, I sent it. Like ripping of a band aid, just hit 'return' without thinking. Now the awful wait...Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending0
