If you're interested, say so, directly. There are plenty of us chaps that absolutely cannot "read the signs" and have no idea if a woman is interested in anything more than friendship. I'm one of them. If a woman I knew asked to meet for coffee and a chat, I would assume she wanted coffee and a chat, because that is what she said, not that she was potentially interested in a romantic relationship.

We live in a society where the law guarantees equality, so there is no law saying that the man has to do the asking.

Having been asked a couple of times, it's hugely flattering, I felt like my heart would burst with joy the second time.

I would add him on facebook and wait for him to accept if you're not already friends. Then send him a message asking if he wants to go for a drink and catch up and just take it from there :)

Good luck! We regret the things we don't do in life far more than the things we do :)

He seems like a bit of a second choice to me. If you had liked him enough before you wouldnt have been distracted by the first guy.

But sometimes you distract yourself from the person you are really attracted to because you think they don't like you.

Add him to facebook, see if he adds you, chat to him for a bit, then ask if he'd like to go for a coffee one lunchtime. Don't make a big thing out of it because its not.., that's in the future, if you both want the same thing. Anything could happen. Deal with what is.., you'd like to meet up and have a chat. No pressure.

When you look back on your life, you'll regret the things you didn't do more than the ones you did. Go for it OP and good luck :)
The best day of your life is the one on which you decide your life is your own, no apologies or excuses. No one to lean on, rely on or blame. The gift is yours - it is an amazing journey - and you alone are responsible for the quality of it. This is the day your life really begins.

Even if he's not interested, he'd be flattered that you were, you have nothing to lose and potentially everything to gain, it's a no brainer! :)
  • I can't wait to see updates from the OP saying that shes asked him out (for coffee, a date, whatever) and that he has accepted!!! :D
