I've had a letter to say the cashback is being pulled on one of my CapOne cards, but nothing yet about my LUMA card - I suspect that will be in the post on Tuesday :-(

I'll really miss the 4% cashback on Supermarket and petrol spend, though I guess it was good while it lasted!

Now, I still have an old Halifax card which I used to use before the LUMA card - that paid 2% cashback on supermarkets and petrol, then 0.5% on everything else. Does anyone know if the cashback on that card ever got pulled, I don't remember ever being informed of a cull on that one.

Might have to check with Halifax and resurrect it as for me it would work out slightly better than the Santander 123 (due to the £24 on the Santander). Though I suspect it's just a matter of time before all cashback cards are gone :-(

Shame if the Luma cashback is being stopped as well as the main Cap1 cards. Might have to take a look at Santander, but that might be going the same way soon.

I think the letter refers to the Luma card even if it doesn't mention it specifically. I only have the Luma and have received the letter.

Been using that one all the time - BOS version.

Excellent - I shall go back to using that one then... let's see how long that one lasts!

No, mine referred to my Aspire World card (the letters always publish the last four digits, tho it's a shame they mark everything just 'Capital One' and can't be bothered to name the card).

Mind you, I wasn't so sure of myself that your post didn't cause me to spend five minutes with my head in my recyclable bin to make certain :-(
  • Any more had letters? I'm still waiting and it has been quite a while since the first (now deleted!!) thread started. Mine says Aspire World on it though I never realised there were so many different sorts. Just pays 1% on everything without a limit.

I had the letter on Saturday. I think my card was the World one. 1% flat on all purchases and an extra £10 bonus every January. Had the card ages so I will be closing it when I get what is owed to me after 31st May.

I already have Amex Plat (had it since 2004) and Santander 123 as well as Santander Zero (not available any more), so will stick to that combo and maybe use my debit card for anything where I would normally use the Cap1 card.

I'm not sure why people are suggesting the San123 card will go soon - they seem to be heavily marketing it lately so it would be quite a u-turn in my opinion. Plus it's important to note that it has an annual fee and doesn't pay out on all transactions - meaning they do make something out of it.

I have a feeling the limit is £20K (which may be not noticeable by many).
I haven't had a letter, but just had my £18 taken, so cynically I'm wondering if the letter comes out after the fees.
