Capital One axing cashback for some, cuts cashback rates for others

I've still yet to receive a letter from Capital One informing me of the cashback changes. I have the 0.5% cashback and £10 yearly bonus card. My brother has the same card and the only letter he got was just informing him that his spending limit was increasing.0

Like others, I contacted Capital One as I haven't received a letter either and was told that I'll still be receiving my cashback (I've got the same card as you) so looks like we're one of the lucky ones.0 -
IMHO, 0.5% hardly worth it, Amex is a must better option, especially the Barclays 0.5 Visa and combined 1% Amex cards..After reading PtL Vaubans Guide , please don't desert us, hang around and help others!

That's the combo I'm aiming to upgrade my new Freedom card to ASAP.0 -
still no letter for me either, and mine is the AspireElite card
i used it today, as i found that even though the Post Office now accepts Amex for postage they weren't able to accept it to pay my Council Tax. so i had to go home & pay using CapOne Mastercard at home.0 -

I can't recall earlier posts, but maybe the AE cards are at the bottom of the pile because of the fees which CapOne may want to make the most out of and to have the least pro-rata refunds?0 -
