I sent them a private message the other day and they've told me the cashback and £10 annual bonus is staying on my card?
    Which card please?
Does it have a name on the front? (not your name, something like "ASPIRE WORLD" across the middle).

I got my letter today saying CB gone from 1st June. They must be slow coming out as its dated March 2015. I have the Aspire World card which was the Platinum card so got the 1% + £10 each year. Been a customer forever & get approx £250 cash back a year - absolutely everything goes on it. Really going to miss this every January. My circumstances have changed since getting this so I can't currently apply for a new card. Not entirely unexpected but more than a little bit miffed that it's different rules for different accounts with Cap 1. Have a healthy £8k credit limit & do clear it every month so as long as it's fee free will keep it at the moment.

It's only one of those Classic Extra cards that I got whilst I was still sub-prime.
I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂

Just applied and got accepted for Barclaycard Freedom. Just a 6 month countdown until I can upgrade to Cashback now!

you might find it doesn't take that long for them to let you transfer across

I'd hope not, though they did say 6-12 months to me on Twitter and I've seen one other response on here saying he'd had his for 4 months and they said to wait another 2. Not a massive issue, I've got the ball rolling at least!

they certainly offered to convert an account for me which was less than 6 months old.. but i did have another account running alongside which had been running for years.

If it happens for me, great otherwise I'm not too fussed for now. I am a cardholder on my Dad's freedom account however I imagine that doesn't make much difference.
