Business owners will employ 3 people on part hours instead of 1 person full time. This so they don't have to pay tax or employers NI, etc.
They then expect the state to top up their income with tax credits, other benefits, etc.
Then they read the Daily Mail and vote Tory because they are outraged at Benefit Britain.

Why is it impractical for a second job ?0

Perhaps they'd like a bit of attention, help with homework or whatever, and not the things she wants for them? Hard work is admirable but she needs to be clear on her motives.0 -
You say its not practical to work two jobs and why is that? My dad works 2 jobs, full time Monday to friday from 10AM to 7PM and works nights friday, saturday & sunday 9PM to 7AM and on Monday goes to his full time job with NO sleep.Come on you Irons0

You sound like a 70 year old with a bad attitude. Did you spend too long working in the office or something and are now really bitter and twisted?
:rotfl:pot, kettle, black!!
Honestly OP, have some self-respect and get off your backside rather than wanting to have everything handed to you.
It's obvious it is more "practical" to get a second job and have more income than be poor and have less income.Thinking critically since 1996....0 -

Fact.
The vast majority of employers would not even think of the less employers NI they have to pay, they will have hired people for that way because it offers greater flexibility for their business.
If people don't like it then they move on, if an employer finds this happening to often then they will likely reassess their offerings of a shift pattern.Don't trust a forum for advice. Get proper paid advice. Any advice given should always be checked0 -

Perhaps the things she wants for them are a roof over their heads and food in their tummies?0 -
